Daddy's Accident - S1-E1

Continuity mistake: At the end of the scene where Hyacinth is fighting Major's advances in the greenhouse, she's seen holding fresh flowers. However, just as she's running down the stairs, the flowers are wilted and broken.

Stately Home - S1-E3

Continuity mistake: When the inside of Onslows and Daisy's house is shown there is no second door in the hallway right inside the front door. When the angry woman storms in to the house from the outside, there is a second door that she goes through after the front door. You can it because the light changes as if a door is being opened and then closed, much like a swinging door.

Driving Mrs Fortescue - S2-E2

Continuity mistake: When the characters arrive at the pub, Richard parks the car not within the parking bay and with a big gap between the front bumper and the bollard. He then goes into the pub. Meanwhile all subsequent shots of the car show it parked right up against the bollard, and in addition a wide shot seen while Hyacinth is waiting for Mrs Fortescue shows the car is parked within the lines.

The Father Christmas Suit - S2-E11

Revealing mistake: When Elizabeth is driving Richard's car to the church dressed in the father Christmas outfit with Hyacinth you can see that the handbrake light is on while the car is supposedly being driven.

The Father Christmas Suit - S2-E11

Continuity mistake: In the scene on the way to the church when Liz and Hyacinth nearly crash into the Thorgunburys' car, there are two cars parked in the front garden of the house behind them, a red Peugeot and a white Citroen. At the end of this scene a white Vauxhall Nova has just appeared in the garden.

What to Wear When Yachting - S3-E7

Revealing mistake: At the beginning of the episode, when the TV repairman is at the door, you can see that the background behind him is a studio wall - not the front yard we normally see on that side of the house. This effect also appears in many other episodes.

littlestar

A Barbecue at Violet's - S5-E8

Continuity mistake: The BBQ fire is started by the "there'll always be an England" sign resting on the BBQ. When the guests sang that song, Hyacinth is to put the sign down behind the table where the other signs are, not on the grill.

Moose

Hyacinth: It's Bouquet.

The Toy Store - S2-E8

Trivia: Hyacinth somehow manages to open a pull door by pushing. When Hyacinth is about to walk into the store with Councillor Mrs. Nugent (24mins approx), they walk to the door and Hyacinth pushes the door, which is labeled "Pull."

Season 1 generally

Question: What is the name of the china pattern used at the breakfast table? It is black and gold trimmed. Not the Royal Doulton and not the Royal Worster Avignon.

Answer: I have asked myself the same question for a long time. It is Rosina-Queen's fine bone china, pattern "Olde England." It's the china that appears most of the time in the series. The Royal Worchester double-glazed Avignon (for candle light suppers) is really Royal Doulton Avignon, pattern "The Moselle Collection." And the Royal Doulton with the hand painted periwinkles is in reality of course Royal Doulton Colclough, pattern "Braganza."
