Continuity mistake: After she leaves the sanitarium, Elaine's long blonde hair is blowing wildly in the wind as she drives. In the next shot, with no time for her to have combed it, her hair is neatly coiffed again. (00:10:00)

Continuity mistake: When the ship's captain is questioning the survivor, the man is sitting up with the iron bedstead behind him. When the shot cuts, he's suddenly lying flat with his head on the pillow.

Continuity mistake: When William Windom comes into his office, we see a stone wall in the background, with a wall clock, a painting and a credenza, but when Bert Convy comes in through the same door later, the background is completely different. Continuity mistake: When Randolph Lane swivels in his chair, his hair changes from slightly mussed to disheveled.
Continuity mistake: The shots of Doran from his left rear shows him a couple feet away from the wall while frontal shots show him backed up against the wall.

Continuity mistake: When she leaves the campus, Joanna gets wet running through the rain to her car. Just minutes later, she arrives home completely dry and with her hair neatly coiffed again. (00:27:10)

Other mistake: After Malloy shoots himself his hand does not drop the gun onto the table. Instead, his hand places the gun on the table then his fingers gently shoves the gun out of his hand.
Continuity mistake: Malloy places his flashlight on the floor about a foot and a half away from the door and at an angle. When he opens the door, the flashlight is now right up against the door and directly perpendicular to it.
Continuity mistake: A brick being shoved into place attracts Malloy's attention. The mortar is not neat and tidy, wet, and the bricks are slightly askew. When Malloy turns to face the brick wall, the mortar is neat, dry, and the bricks neatly laid.
Continuity mistake: The size of the matchstick being consumed by the flame varies size as Malloy lights the candles.
Continuity mistake: The shape and number of blood spots on Malloy's left hand change instantly after dripping on him.
Continuity mistake: It is daylight at the front door before Colonel Malloy enters the haunted house, but pitch black when he opens the door and enters.
