The Wedsworth-Townsend Act - S1-E1

Visible crew/equipment: When 127's snorkel is raised to rescue the man who was electrocuted atop a utility pole, as he's being loaded, in the first closeup within the snorkel, we can notice two things. We can see someone wearing denim at the left of the screen between 127's guy and Johnny, and we also see the ground past Johnny's head. Then as the snorkel is still being lowered, in the shot from the same POV, once again at the left we see that crew member wearing denim, who is outside the snorkel basket, and also see the ground, but the ground has not changed. This reveals that these two closeups were shot at ground level.

Cook's Tour - S1-E4

Visible crew/equipment: After Roy and John pull up to the house with the woman in labor, when the deputy pulls up behind Squad 51, the reflection of production equipment alongside the lamppost is visible on the car's surface. In the previous long shot of the house, we see there is only a large area of grass in front of the house.

Crash - S1-E12

Visible crew/equipment: When Brackett, Dixie and Early are working on the unconscious little boy, once Brackett says to go with the pacemaker, multiple black T-marks are visible all over the floor - three under the gurney and one near the cart. Another actor's white tape mark is visible under the gurney (partially blocked by the green oxygen tank), where both Early and Dixie stand at different times.

Botulism - S1-E3

Visible crew/equipment: On site at the construction accident with the back injury victim, when Roy climbs over the tower's railing we can see the yellow canvas strap attached through the leather loop of his lifebelt, but when he descends to the injured victim, the yellow canvas strap is now also attached to a carabiner protruding from under his turnout coat, by his pants, which presumably is attached to additional hidden support.

Visible crew/equipment: After Engine 51 rolls up to the scene of Paula's car accident, when Captain Hammer stands up in the engine's cab, the reflection of production equipment is visible on the engine's chrome spotlight.

Mascot - S1-E2

Visible crew/equipment: At the start, when Squad 51 rolls up on the car accident scene, in the shot from inside the squad we can see the entire area around the wrecked car, and there's only a utility pole, short wood fencing, and trees. When Roy and John are treating Paula, and then removing her from the car, in the overhead shots as the camera faces the wrecked car and 51's rigs, there's a very large rectangular shadow being cast over the car, which is presumably from a reflector screen facing the front of the car.

Mascot - S1-E2

Visible crew/equipment: After Squad 51 is dispatched to the cliff rescue, when Roy and Johnny board Copter 10 at Rampart, the reflection of the production vehicle/equipment is visible on the glass surface at the helicopter's nose.

The Mouse - S4-E20

Revealing mistake: At the apartment complex fire, after Johnny is knocked unconscious by the explosion, when the Pasadena fireman finds him and has to lift him up, it's funny how even though Johnny's unconscious we can see that he actually helps to stand himself up, so the fireman can lift him up and carry him out.

Breakdown - S6-E15

Charlie: I think you guys are playing games with me, and I don't like it.
Roy: Now, wait a minute. We're not playing games. We don't play games with the equipment...
Captain Stanley: Wait, hold on. C'mon everybody, look we're all on the same side here, aren't we?
Charlie: I wonder.
Captain Stanley: Charlie, why can't we put the squad in the shop and have us a reserve vehicle here?
Charlie: No, no, Hank. Not until I'm 100% sure that I can't fix it. If there's anything wrong with it. This coffee stinks. [Leaves the room.]
Captain Stanley: You guys playing some kind of joke on him?
John: We didn't make the coffee!
Captain Stanley: Not the coffee, you twit, the squad.
Roy: Cap, there's something wrong with that squad out there.
Captain Stanley: [sigh.] All right, if you say so... I made the coffee.

The Promise - S3-E11

Trivia: During Richard's rescue from the ledge at Rampart, the snorkel that Roy and Brackett climb onto is Truck 127, from Station 127 aka Station 51. Truck 127 is used in many episodes requiring a snorkel, including 1x6, "Dealer's Wild" and 3x16, "Fools." There's a particularly nice shot at the end of this episode, when Engine 51 and Squad 51 are parked parallel to each other, and when Johnny responds to dispatch that Squad 51 is available, Truck 127 drives away between 51's vehicles. Nice touch.

Show generally

Question: In quite a few episodes of Emergency there is a character that the doctors and other nurses call Nurse Carol. She is the older nurse with dark hair. I would say she is on at least a fourth of all episodes in all seasons yet I can not see this actress getting credited or listed as uncredited anywhere. I wonder if she was an actual nurse. Does any one know who she was. Yes there also were a couple of other actresses who played a nurse named Carol on one or two episodes and they are listed in the episode guides. She also is the patient with her arm in the cast talking to Dr. Morton in the episode 6:18 Firehouse Quintet.

Answer: On IMDB, actress Anne Schedeen is listed as playing Nurse Carol on six episodes from 1974-76.
