The Professor - S2-E15

Visible crew/equipment: When Roy and Johnny are driving in the squad, while discussing Roy's last phone call from Susan, Johnny's lack of tact, etc., and particularly as they're being dispatched to the "possible maternity case," in every shot facing Johnny pay attention to the window behind the guys, because we can see a crew member's right hand, wearing a ring, who's holding a rope while he's riding on the back of the squad.

Other mistake: When Roy gets off the phone and heads to the squad, Johnny follows him wanting to know who he was talking to, and after Roy tosses Johnny a rag to help wipe down the squad, we hear the dispatcher ask, "Foam 27, what is your location?" but subtitles read, "Phone 27, what is your location?" Subtitles from Universal Studios 2010 DVD.

Continuity mistake: When Roy and Johnny are at the construction site with the guy who wants to jump, before Roy walks over to him we see the pompier belt around Johnny's waist has the carabiner hook to his left and the double tongue buckles to his right. Then when Captain Stanley tells Johnny to try and get to the guy from the other side, Johnny's belt is now around his waist the opposite way. In the following shots his life belt flips around a couple more times. Note that their pompier belts have at one side double leather straps which are the two tongue buckles, and the other side has a single strap of leather for the attached carabiner hook.

Audio problem: At the site of the crashed plane, when the trapped pilot screams, "Help, I can't get out, the doors are jammed," his mouth movements do not sync with the words we hear. Then once he's out, it happens again when he says "I guess I'm a little shook."

Continuity mistake: When Roy and John are with Boat 110, after the Harbor Patrol cancels their incident response, we hear that Engine 110 and Engine 58 are dispatched to 'aircraft down' and Boat 110 heads there as well, but when Boat 110 reaches the shore, we see an engine and a squad behind the airplane, just before more of 110's guys appear.

Breakdown - S6-E15

Charlie: I think you guys are playing games with me, and I don't like it.
Roy: Now, wait a minute. We're not playing games. We don't play games with the equipment...
Captain Stanley: Wait, hold on. C'mon everybody, look we're all on the same side here, aren't we?
Charlie: I wonder.
Captain Stanley: Charlie, why can't we put the squad in the shop and have us a reserve vehicle here?
Charlie: No, no, Hank. Not until I'm 100% sure that I can't fix it. If there's anything wrong with it. This coffee stinks. [Leaves the room.]
Captain Stanley: You guys playing some kind of joke on him?
John: We didn't make the coffee!
Captain Stanley: Not the coffee, you twit, the squad.
Roy: Cap, there's something wrong with that squad out there.
Captain Stanley: [sigh.] All right, if you say so... I made the coffee.

Trivia: A plaque that honors Bob Cinader is mounted on Station 127's wall, outside beside the apparatus bay door. The plaque reads: "Robert A. Cinader's Involvement with the Los Angeles County Fire Department began in 1971 when he filmed a pilot television movie about the county's fledgling paramedic program."Emergency!" aired in 1972 and ran as a prime time show for five years with a weekly audience of 13 million people. The show brought attention and acclaim to the Los Angeles County Fire Department. More importantly, it showed public officials across the nation that lives could be saved by local paramedic programs. As a result, Bob Cinader can be credited for making significant contributions to improving Emergency Medical Services. His Involvement and commitment was so intense, and his study of emergency services so thorough, he became an expert in the field. In 1975, he was appointed to the county's Emergency Medical Services Commission, where he served until his death in 1982. In recognition of his extraordinary public service, on May 28,1985, the board of supervisors voted unanimously to pay special tribute to Bob Cinader by naming Fire Station 127 in Carson, which was used in the filming of "Emergency!", in his honor." The Mouse - S4-E20

Question: The old man that comes in with his wife that can't breathe, the one that the head nurse tries to counsel and tempts him with a cup of coffee. I believe he is Alfred Hitchcock, though his name is not listed anywhere. Alfred Hitchcock is known for his cameo appearances in his own shows and in other shows. Can someone confirm that this is him? This is driving me nuts... It is toward the end of the episode, but I cannot give you times.

Answer: I believe you are speaking of the old man, Mr. Wilson. He's played by J. Pat O'Malley.

Bishop73

Correct, it was J. Pat O'Malley...he also played the grandfather with his grandson when their rocket exploded, and also played "Old Bill" in the episode with Ann Prentiss, where Gage saves the little girl from the burning tree house, and her mother falls in love with him.
