Visible crew/equipment: When Darnell is amused by the funny greeting card, as the camera moves towards him, you can spot a crew member (most likely a boom mic operator) on the left side of the screen, on the other side of the display shelf. His/her arm is well visible but you can even see his/her head for a brief moment.
Continuity mistake: Maggie Lester's shown in the flashbacks as having brown eyes. The adult Maggie has blue eyes.
Larceny Of A Kitty Cat - S2-E4
Continuity mistake: In S1E9 Randy asks Earl what animal he'd want to be. Earl says he'd rather be a dog than a cat because he is allergic to cats. However, here Earl is shown around cats with no allergic reaction. Instead, Randy is the one who has allergies.
Continuity mistake: Whenever Earl, Joy and Randy go to visit Jasper in the flashback, his Russian bride is in the background. She shouldn't be around at this time as earlier in the show Jasper is barely introducing the gang to his Russian bride years after the flashback occurs (S1E12).
Continuity mistake: Randy spray paints his name over the bargain buys logo on the side of the truck. However, when Earl and Joy realise there is a man in the back of it, it cuts to a long shot and it still has the bargain buys logo on it. Then when Earl comes back with the gas, Randy is painting over his name with the white paint.
Teacher Earl - S1-E5
Continuity mistake: Randy gives Earl his safety deposit key back. The screen switches to Randy, and then back to Earl, except where there used to be a safety deposit key on the napkin in from of him are now 3 safety deposit keys, and rearranged for that matter. After another screen switch between the two, the 3 keys get rearranged again. (00:20:30 - 00:21:10)
Little Bad Voodoo Brother - S4-E8
Revealing mistake: When Earl and Randy are being beaten by the mob, it is obvious that no contact is being made when Earl is kicked or when Randy is being beaten with sticks. (00:17:40)
Stole Beer From A Golfer - S1-E7
Continuity mistake: In the scene where they bring in the matter of Poochie, Earl's list appears suddenly in his shirt pocket, having not been there seconds before.
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Randy and Arlen are sitting in the bar, and Randy is telling Arlen how to be a better little brother, take notice that the beer bottles on the table increases in number, and the arrangement of the bottles changes too.
Witch Lady - S4-E21
Continuity mistake: When Joy is rolled down the basement steps in a bag, her feet are not protruding from the bag; upon landing, you can see that the feet are now showing.
Witch Lady - S4-E21
Visible crew/equipment: Throughout the whole episode, there are times that you see the green light from the camera reflecting off of the Witch Lady's glasses.
Sweet Johnny - S4-E5
Revealing mistake: The air mattress embedded in the ground that cushions their fall, and the curly hair and face of the stuntman for Earl are quite obvious when Earl and Sweet Johnny hit the ground.
Continuity mistake: Despite Randy's serious cat allergy (revealed in S2E4 "Larceny Of A Kitty Cat"), he's got no problem carrying a kitten in his newfound suit.
Killerball - S3-E18
Continuity mistake: When Randy laughs frantically after the Hensons told him they have been abused by a Dobermann, he's near a billiards table where there are two balls. At the end of the scene another ball appears on the table from nowhere.
Continuity mistake: When Carl is staying with the son Earl in his motel room after he separated from his wife and starts going back and forth for the room, there are two socks on the floor by the bed, one of which changes position in another shot.
Continuity mistake: Earl is crossing Kenny off his list; he goes to Kenny's house where he lives with his parents. It is revealed that Kenny has a mom and dad. Later on the series, Kenny says he was raised by lesbian parents.
Suggested correction: Wrong show, Kenny has a Mom and a Dad. It was Raising Hope where his character had two lesbian moms.
Continuity mistake: When Earl's mother is in the bathroom stall we see she has a tiny bit of toilet paper on the roll next to her. As Joy puts her head underneath the stall the amount of toilet paper is now much longer than before. It goes from half a square of paper to about 2-3 squares of paper.
Factual error: You hear a recording of Earl's ancestor from the 1860s, but audio recording like that was not technologically possible at the time (especially for someone as obscure as him). (00:10:30)
