Evolution of the Daleks (2) - S3-E5
Question: When the Daleks sabotage Human Dalek Sec and the Doctor's treatment to turn the dead human bodies into Dalek-Human hybrids, why does the Doctor not help Dalek Sec escape along with the other human prisoners? If he truly believed that Sec had changed (becoming less Dalek and more human), enough to voluntarily help him with the hybrid formula, then why not try and get him out as well?
Last of the Time Lords (3) - S3-E13
Question: Why does The Master fear The Doctor forgiving him? What's he forgiving The Master for exactly?
Question: In this episode, at the end Queen Elizabeth comes in shocked and demands "Off with his head" showing she hates him or he has done wrong by her. But the episode where he does do wrong by her was never shown before his regeneration. I know he could have done it in his spare time but Matt Smith's Doctor says some things about her too (for example he says "Liz the first is still waiting in a glade to elope with me") showing that he has seen her since he regenerated. Basically I'm very confused and wondering why they didn't make the episode showing why she was so despised with him and then later explaining why she wanted to elope with him.
Chosen answer: In "The Day of the Doctor" (set between "The Waters of Mars" and "The End of Time, Part One"), the 10th Doctor marries her and never comes back. That'll make a good enough reason.
Utopia (1) - S3-E11
Question: When Professer Yana is beginning to realise who he really is, he hears the voices of previous Masters. Could someone tell me where these audio clips were taken from?
Chosen answer: "Destroy him! Then you will give your power to me! is Roger Delgado in "The Daemons" (1971). The other is Anthony Ainley laughing evilly, not sure where that was from.
Question: I just wanted to check before I post it as a mistake. When Morvin and Foon are fixing the Host, Foon says she spent 5000 credits on phone calls and that they'll never be able to pay it off. At the end of the episode, the Doctor tells Mr. Copper that he has 50,000,056 credits on his card which he says is equal to £1,000,000. According to this calculation, the 5000 credits that Foon spent, divided by 50.000056 = £99.999888. Surely even though they work on a milk market they'd be able to pay that off easily, wouldn't they.
Chosen answer: Depends on how much money they made at the market. For some people, a £99 expense WOULD be too much to pay off.
Last of the Time Lords (3) - S3-E13
Question: Why did The Doctor disable Jack's vortex manipulator?
Chosen answer: To stop him from traveling around Time and Space and causing trouble, he even says it as he is disabling it.
The Sound of Drums (2) - S3-E12
Question: What exactly is the Cruciform?
Chosen answer: The Cruciform has not been confirmed to be a location, a weapon, a ship, or some kind of object. It has only ever been mentioned, never described. All we know is that it belonged to the Time Lords. It must have been important in the Time War because the Daleks wanted control of it.
The Sound of Drums (2) - S3-E12
Question: Why was Lucy so willing to go along with The Master's plan of murder and world domination?
Chosen answer: Because he'd driven her insane by showing her the future and humanity's fate. (There's also the possibility that she might be The Rani in human form, but that's all speculation right now.)
The Sound of Drums (2) - S3-E12
Question: How does staring into time vortex cause the constant drumming in The Master's head? Also, why does it cause it?
Chosen answer: As revealed in "The End of Time" it was the President of the Time Lords who put the drumming back in time into the Master's head.
The Sound of Drums (2) - S3-E12
Question: How exactly did the Time Lords resurrect The Master when he was consumed by The Doctor's Tardis?
Chosen answer: Well they are Time Lords, they can manipulate Time itself to some extent so bringing people back from death wherever or however it happens.
The Sound of Drums (2) - S3-E12
Question: Why are young initiates taken to the Untempered Schism? What purpose does this serve?
Chosen answer: I think that looking into the Untempered Schism shows the young Time Lords infinity. It shows them everything, and it is like a test. If they can resist the urge to grab it and take it all for themselves, then they are worthy to be a Time Lord.
Last of the Time Lords (3) - S3-E13
Question: Who took The Masters' ring at the end of the episode?
Chosen answer: This is unanswered. Hopefully, during the Christmas special of 2009, it will be answered, as it brings back the Master.
Answer: A member of a cult the Master set up to get himself resurrected, as shown in "The End of Time."
Time Crash - S3-E15
Question: Peter Davison makes a reference to a group called Lynda. Is this the same group from "Love and Monsters" and, if so, how does he know about them?
Chosen answer: Yes, it is the same group, although the circumstances of his encounter with them have never been revealed.
Utopia (1) - S3-E11
Question: The Doctor says that if a Time Lord were to absorb the energies of the time vortex they would become a vengeful god. Why exactly would they become vengeful?
Chosen answer: Given that their entire race was wiped out by the Daleks in the Time War and the Daleks are still around, I'd say that a Time Lord would have something to be vengeful for. That much power would go to anyone's head.
Last of the Time Lords (3) - S3-E13
Question: Why does The Master want to create a new Time Lord empire? I would have thought that as a renegade Time Lord he would have been glad they were all gone, also, how could he create a Time Lord empire when they were all dead?
Chosen answer: He likely means an empire where he, a Time Lord, rules over all creation.
The Family of Blood (2) - S3-E9
Question: Where is the scene with the Doctor binding Father of Mine in chains suppose to take place?
Answer: I don't think we're ever told. You just see him being tied up and hear Son of Mine in the voice over.
Question: The main premise of 'Blink' is that the Doctor and Martha are stranded in the 1960s. The Doctor is immortal, so wouldn't he have caught up with the present day eventually, to sort out the problem with the Angels?
Answer: Well, technically the 60's are recent enough that both Martha and the Doctor would live through to the present day, but that's hardly an ideal solution, particularly for Martha, who probably wouldn't relish the idea of explaining to her family and friends why she's suddenly in her eighties. So, yes, technically speaking, the Doctor could just sit around and wait, but that's not really the Doctor's style, is it?
Question: What is the waltz that plays during the Annual Ball called?
Answer: it is not real but some one on youtube has ripped the song from the episode LINK: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Po21tPWArXU.
Evolution of the Daleks (2) - S3-E5
Question: What are the words being chanted in the Dalek "theme music" in this episode?
Answer: "Mah koreh, mah mah koreh": Hebrew for "What is happening?"
Chosen answer: There are no words. It's just strange alien music.
Chosen answer: The Master knows that deep down, he deserves death for the crimes that he's committed throughout his life, and since he regards The Doctor as his arch-foe, he expects it to be at his hands. The fact that The Doctor is still willing to forgive him for all of his crimes hurts him more deeply than death would.
