Character mistake: When Tommy walks into the flower shop, he tells the clerk that his sister is getting married. For the purpose of their mission, Sally, the sister in question, is actually supposed to be Tommy's aunt. (00:05:20)
Other mistake: When Dick is trying to get into the jewelry store, the clerk keeps trying to buzz him in. When that doesn't work because Dick doesn't understand to wait for the buzzer to finish before he tries opening the door, the clerk goes over to the door and unlocks the deadbolt and opens the door for him. If the door was locked by a deadbolt, then a buzzer wouldn't really do anything to unlock the door. (00:14:05 - 00:15:00)
Suggested correction: It's not a deadbolt. If it was they have retracting deadbolts.
Dick and the Single Girl - S2-E24
Continuity mistake: When Sonja takes Dick's belt, she has it in her right hand, away from Dick. In the next few shots, Sonja no longer has the belt, but it is back around Dick's pants. Yet the next shot (at the door), it's in Dick's hand. (00:16:30)
A Nightmare on Dick Street (1) - S2-E25
Continuity mistake: In 1-2: "Post Nasal Dick", Harry has a dream about Martha Stewart. But in this episode they panic because they dream and have nightmares and don't know what they are. Shouldn't Harry have panicked when he dreamed about Martha Stewart?
Tricky Dick - S3-E3
Audio problem: In the epilogue when Harry is singing for the garage band, before he takes the guitar and smashes it, you can see the guitar player is strumming, but only the bass guitar and drum parts are audible. (00:21:20)
Scaredy Dick - S3-E5
Continuity mistake: Before the offscreen trick-or-treater starts throwing eggs into Mary's house, you can see she already has egg stains on her jacket from previous takes. (00:17:40)
Character mistake: When Tommy asks Don how he knows his I.D. is fake, Don says it's because he used to date Tommy's sister Sally. Sally, for the purpose of the aliens' mission to study Earth, is supposed to be Tommy's aunt. (00:14:25)
36! 24! 36! Dick! (1) - S3-E14
Revealing mistake: The mandolin that Dick is playing has no strings. (00:15:40)
Dick and the Other Guy (2) - S3-E23
Audio problem: When Liam is performing karaoke at the end of the episode, his mouth is not even moving for some of the lyrics, and there aren't any vocal tracks on the song, because only the instruments are heard when he abruptly stops singing to admonish the crowd for trying to leave during his performance.
Sally and Don's First Kiss - S3-E24
Factual error: When Dick is purchasing his lunch, the cashier tells him the total is $3.75 and he incredulously lays down another coin because he thought his total was going to be $3.50. When he walks away with his tray, you can see that he paid for the meal with 4 coins. Unless he paid with silver dollars (the Sacajawea dollar had not been minted yet) then there is no way he could have covered the $3.75 with just 4 coins. And if he did pay with silver dollars then it would have been completely out of character for him to not have gotten any change, seeing how the show has established him as a cheapskate, as well as he would definitely get change seeing as how upset he was at having to pay an additional 25 cents for his meal.
Revealing mistake: When Harry throws the tent against the ground, his left foot bumps against the large rock on the ground and the rock moves. (00:07:20)
Revealing mistake: Near the end when Randy is driving away with Harry you can see that the steering wheel doesn't move when Randy turns it.
Continuity mistake: When everyone is in the living kitchen, Tommy ends up getting 2 darts stuck into the dartboard. When Harry throws the remote, the 2nd dart is missing. But it's back in the wide shots after Jennifer comes in. Later, when Tommy throws another dart, that 3rd one is seen, but not the 2nd one.
Continuity mistake: When Jennifer comes into work the next day after her dinner date with Dick, her face is covered in hives from an allergic reaction. Later when Dick interrupts her choral group, the hives on her face have disappeared. She and Dick are wearing the same clothes in both scenes, so she couldn't have overcome such a reaction in such a short amount of time. (00:12:30 - 00:15:00)
Continuity mistake: During a conversation between Sally, Mary and Nina about posing for "Playpen" magazine, Mary's glasses are on one second, and then off the next. This mistake repeats twice in thirty seconds. They're nowhere to be seen otherwise. (00:13:30)
Continuity mistake: The bottle of orange soda on the breakfast tray Dick tries to bring to Mary changes to a bottle of alcohol (Jack Daniel's I believe) when he sets it down. It later changes back into the bottle of orange soda.
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Dick is buying a laptop, you can see that while the computer is on his lap, it is not really on. (00:06:40)
Factual error: Mary gives Dick directions to press Command-Q to close something. As Dick is using a Compaq computer which would be running Windows, he would not have a Command key and would instead have a Control key (which he actually is pressing) as the Command key exists only on Apple Macintosh computers. Ctrl+Q on a Windows machine doesn't do anything. (00:09:10)
Revealing mistake: In the scene with www.planetsolomon.com, you can see that it is a pre-filmed video (not a live stream as he said), as it has a time slider and play/pause controls etc. (00:13:05 - 00:13:45)
Suggested correction: During streaming, any video player can be used. Meaning "play" or "scroll" buttons are still visible, just not functional.
The color of non-functional buttons will be muted. You can see in the picture that the stop button is solid black, indicating that it is functional. The marker on the status bar is also partially advanced. In a live stream, the marker would remain at the beginning position unless someone paused the stream, in which case resuming play would cause the marker to advance in order to catch up to the delay. In this scene, Dr. Solomon is teaching his class and interacting with his students, meaning no-one paused the stream.
Continuity mistake: Dick hands Nina a box full of dishes and asks for them to be cleaned. She then drops the box on the ground where it lands upright. All of the dishes remain in the box. The next time it's seen a few seconds later, it's suddenly on its side with dishes scattered across the floor. None of the characters touch it and there is no sound indicating that it magically tipped over by itself.
