Monk

Mr. Monk Is on the Run (1) - S6-E15

Continuity mistake: When Monk attempts to steal the truck at the gas station and grabs the sleeping driver's keys, he drives the truck in circles and then stops. When he stops, the truck is exactly parallel to the end of the concrete slab where the gas pumps are located. However, when the police arrive, the truck is now at a different angle with the back of the truck now being closer to the end of the concrete slab than the front. The gas station attendant would not have moved the truck himself as the police would have told him not to touch anything at the scene.

Mr. Monk Is on the Run (2) - S6-E16

Continuity mistake: When Monk is at the hotel, a teenage girl comes in to clean up the room. While they are conversing, the subject of mysteries comes up and she goes out and gets the newspaper and places it in front of Monk on the table. They then talk a little more about it and Monk gestures with his hands for her to take the newspaper away and she then picks up the newspaper off the table and exits the room with it. During this entire sequence, you can see that Monk does not ever touch the newspaper. Later on, at the car wash, Mr. Monk sees a newly-painted red SUV that used to be silver colored. When recalling that the teenage girl said that they were looking for a silver SUV, it now shows Monk pushing the newspaper across the table towards the teenage girl even though he never touched it in the original scene. Mr. Monk and the End - Part I - S8-E15

Continuity mistake: In 3-7 "Employee of the Month", Joe Christie says he was with Monk when he got the news of Trudy's death. He said Monk had been laughing, and that he never heard him laugh again. In this episode Monk and Stottlemeyer get called to the scene of a crime, a women's clinic. In this episode there is a flashback to the exact same location years earlier and to Stottlemeyer getting the phone call about Trudy's death. He and Monk were working a case that day and Joe Christie was not present.

More trivia for Monk

Answer: Stottlemeyer was already upset after the phone call. He was trying to get "Kevin" (who would have to be a judge, but no further character information is given) to issue a restraining order with no evidence of needing one, except that Adrian Monk said she needs one. Kevin said he would need to "sleep on it." So it's clear they've been trying to provide protection and unable to get the results they need, which seems to be based on no one trusting Monk the way Stottlemeyer does. He's just angry that they failed to protect Linda despite all their work. Although it does feel like a scene was cut, or altered, from the show that shows the futile attempts to protect Linda which built up to his outrage.
