Star Trek

Assignment: Earth - S2-E26

Continuity mistake: Gary Seven is talking to his computer, we then switch to Kirk and Co and after a few moments with them we cut back to Gary Seven. Somehow in that time, while talking to his computer he changed his clothes. (00:13:40)

Journey to Babel - S2-E10

Continuity mistake: When Sarek enters the banquet room to take his medication, the Tellarite sitting at the table holds a glass in his right hand. In all the full shots with Sarek in the foreground, the glass switches to the Tellarite's left hand. In all the close-ups of him, it's back in his right again. (00:14:50)

Friday's Child - S2-E11

Continuity mistake: In a wide shot of the Capellons and the Klingon walking down the hill, the Klingon trips and falls to the ground and picks himself up. Next shot, tight group with Klingon, he is suddenly brushing off his pants.

Upvote valid corrections to help move entries into the corrections section.

Suggested correction: After Kras falls, the next shot you see him still on the ground and starting to stand up, although Maab blocks the view of him. The shot cuts to the rocks and then when it cuts back, you see Kras walk up and stand next to Maab, then he starts to dust himself off.

Bishop73

Suggested correction: Why would he not be doing that in the next shot? There is no continuity issue.

Catspaw - S2-E7

Continuity mistake: After the heavy door lands on Korob, his right arm is straight down by his side. The next shot of Korob shows his right arm extended away from his body.

Obsession - S2-E13

Continuity mistake: On the planet surface, in the scene where the three security men walk around the rock, Garrovick has his arm up with his phaser. When the camera angle cuts to him alone, his arm is suddenly down.

Assignment: Earth - S2-E26

Continuity mistake: When the computer opens and begins operation in Gary Seven's office, it's white. In the close up, it goes from white to purple when asking for identification. Afterwards, the color continues to change.

Amok Time - S2-E1

Continuity mistake: Spock is standing in the background with his back to the wall and his hands behind him. A few seconds later, the shot changes to him deep in the "Plak Tow", with his left shoulder touching the wall and with his hands intertwined. The next shot has him standing with his back against the wall again, hands behind his back again. The scene would have flowed nicely if they hadn't inserted the "Plak Tow" shot in between. That two second clip had been used already a few minutes earlier. (00:33:03)

Bread and Circuses - S2-E25

Continuity mistake: While Kirk, Spock, and McCoy attempt to escape, Merik contacts Enterprise with the stolen communicator and the Proconsul stabs him, then when Merik tosses the communicator it lands in front of Kirk's feet in a closeup. The problem is that in the closeup Kirk is wearing his black uniform pants, but during this scene Kirk is wearing the light colored slave pants. Also interesting to note, when the sword landed on the floor in front of Spock's feet, the Vulcan is wearing black lace-up flat footwear instead of his black uniform boots. (00:46:35)

Super Grover

The Ultimate Computer - S2-E24

Continuity mistake: During the scene with the ore freighter, there are four closeups of Spock while he's bent over the scope at his station, and in the background behind Spock we can see Kirk and others on the bridge are gone. It also occurs in the earlier scene during the encounter with the two starships. (00:24:00)

Amok Time - S2-E1

Continuity mistake: When Kirk confronts Spock in his quarters, Kirk asks if it's something only his planet can do for him, then Kirk uses his left hand to grab hold of Spock's arm as he drops the stylus, but in the closeup it's Kirk's right hand holding Spock's arm up, and that stylus is also back in Spock's raised hand. Charlie X - S1-E3

Visible crew/equipment: After McCoy examines Charlie and they talk about how Charlie learned to talk by just listening to the ship's tapes, when Charlie stands up the two actors' marks can be seen on the floor - the short one for Charlie and the longer one for McCoy, where they both will stand momentarily. Trivia: Gene Roddenberry created the transporter as an easier (and cheaper) way of getting Enterprise crew members onto a planet's surface, rather than landing the ship on the planet.

What Are Little Girls Made Of? - S1-E8

Question: When the Enterprise is in orbit, it uses the Impulse engines to maintain orbit. The Impulse engines are located on the back (aft) of the primary saucer. Why were these not on or lit up? Unless they're using gravity, but there are the familiar engine sounds.

Movie Nut

Chosen answer: If they're in orbit, they're being pulled along by the planet's gravity well, therefore, impulse engines would only be used for minor corrections and would be "on standby" while in orbit, but not active. (Like keeping your car idling without revving the engine and creating plumes of exhaust).
