Movie Quote Quiz

Megatron: Is there anyone brave - or stupid enough - to oppose us? This city is under martial law... and I am the marshal.

Blitzwing: Sometimes it's better to be known for one's enemies.

Rumble: If on Decepticon turf you happen to tumble, look out now, 'cuz here comes Rumble.

Ultra Magnus: I've never seen anything this beautiful in the entire galaxy - all right, give me the bomb.

Sweeps: My guidance system has been hit! Galvatron, help me.
Galvatron: Please meet your end with dignity. I despise whiners.

Dr. Archevil: Remember our agreement, Megatron: the Earth is to be mine once you are through with it.
Megatron: It will be. What's left of it.

Jazz: We'll be right back! Just don't move.
Omega Supreme: Sarcasm not appreciated.

Jazz: Maybe Ironhide's ready for a nice, cushy office job.

Ironhide: Stop talkin', tighten your shock absorbers and get in. We're gonna make a new river.

Megatron: Your knowledge is only overshadowed by your stupidity.

MindWipe: The powers of darkness are greater than anything your pathetic scientific toys can muster.

Optimus Prime: Just remember, there's a thin line between being a hero and being a memory.

Wreck-Gar: Kemosabes Rodimus and Ultra Magnus, you are in danger of being cancelled or losing your time slot.
Ultra Magnus: What did he say?
Rodimus Prime: We're gonna get killed.

Megatron: Power flows to the one who knows how. Desire alone is not enough.

Hot Rod: This is ridiculous. Doesn't he know who we are?
Kup: Maybe we should get a new P.R. man.

Quintesson Commander: Besides, how can you be so sure we are the ones who betrayed you?
Galvatron: Well... you all do look alike.

Starscream: I will rule the universe, even if I am the only one left in the universe.

Sky Lynx: Save your ammunition, Autobots! Superior forces are taking over.
Springer: Well, well, Commander Modesty's here.

Megatron: Can't Thrust carry out a simple mission?
Starscream: I think the answer is obvious.

Question: When and how did the Great War end? I know the original Transformers ended its US run after the 3-part Headmasters, but Generation 1 continued on in Japan in Super God Masterforce, Victory, Zone, Return of Convoy, and Operation: Combination. Which cartoon ending is considered "official," the US one which finished its run in the 80's with Headmasters or the Japanese one that ended in 1992 with Operation: Combination?

Answer: It is whichever ending you want. There is no 'real' set or canon ending to the war. The only semi-resolution is Beast Wars occasionally hints at the Autobots winning (before the Maximal upgrade). However, Beast Wars is a combination of the US cartoon and the US comic, and excludes most of the Japanese continuity. So it is really up to you as to what you want to believe. Most people seem to 'accept' the US universe, ending with Beast Machines.
