Super Arthur - S6-E20

Revealing mistake: Paul Lynde is supposedly "in" the mirror near the front door, but as he waves his arm to cast a spell, the shadow of his arm waving is visible at the far left, revealing he is actually standing off camera at a spot where his reflection is visible. Elizabeth Montgomery also briefly glances at him. (00:02:25)

Suggested correction: This is trivia at best, but the episode isn't really a remake of an earlier episode. Here Samantha teaches Uncle Arthur (Lynde) to drive and in season 1 Harold (Lynde) taught Samantha to drive. But the same actor playing multiple roles in a series is never a mistake.

Darrin Stephens: Sam, don't expect your mother to be gracious. She doesn't do imitations.

Trivia: The Screen Gems sets of Bewitched and I Dream of Jeannie were right next to each other at the studio, and many of the actual sets and props were shared between the two shows. Both shows also shared Dick Albain, the Special Effects expert, who worked on the two shows for quite awhile.

Question: In one episode (not sure which one but it was in the Dick York era), Darrin was arguing with Samantha and said something like "Confiding in a woman is like broadcasting by Telstar." What exactly does that mean and what was Telstar?

Answer: Telstar was an early communications satellite system. Darrin, in a particularly sexist manner reflective of this era, is saying that telling a secret to a woman means it is guaranteed to be "broadcasted" to multiple people.

Answer: The Telstar Reference was in Dangerous Diaper Dan when Samantha engages in too much gossip.
