End of the Curse - S2-E1

Other mistake: Dorothy said she's never had a mink, but her mink stole was stolen in the Break-In episode. It was also in the pilot episode when Blanch asked Dorthy if she could borrow her mink stole.

End of the Curse - S2-E1

Other mistake: In the opening scene showing the outside of the house, the garage and driveway are on the left side of the house. In "End of the Curse," the girls raise minks in the garage, which is accessed from the back corner of the kitchen, thus the garage is actually on the opposite side of the house. Furthermore there are four large bedrooms and at least one large bathroom down the hallway. The hallway shoots off the living room at an angle. There is not enough room to fit all those rooms between the supposed garage and the kitchen and the lanai; all of the rooms would overlap one another. Lastly, the lanai seems to be surrounded on three sides by the house (as is typical of a lanai) but the hallway leading to the lanai, and the way the girls enter from the left, would put it on the very front corner, and surrounded by nothing.

Take Him, He's Mine - S2-E3

Continuity mistake: In this episode, Blanche goes out with Stan, which results in the two of them becoming good friends who see each other often and hang out together. The only reason they end their friendship is because Dorothy got jealous, not for personal differences between them. Although Dorothy assumed the two have an affair, it turns out they were really just platonic friends who liked going out together. Still, in every episode afterwards, Blanche dislikes Stan again and treats him like an annoying person just like before, even though in the meantime she figured out how much fun he can be as a friend.

It's a Miserable Life - S2-E4

Plot hole: It shouldn't matter if the neighborhood's got a petition. If the tree in question is on Mrs. Claxton's property then they wouldn't have a say in the city removing it.

Isn't It Romantic - S2-E5

Factual error: At the beginning of the episode, Dorothy tries to turn off the dirty video that Sophia rented. She presses the fast-forward button on the VCR remote by mistake, and the music on the television continues at a faster pace. However, most if not all VHS players (in the 1980s and today) do not play audio whilst fast-forwarding or rewinding.

Big Daddy's Little Lady - S2-E6

Continuity mistake: Dorothy takes a cheesecake out of the fridge and it's halfway gone. When she gets to the table, the cheesecake changes and has not had a piece cut out of it. When she sets it on the table, it is halfway gone again.

Family Affair - S2-E7

Other mistake: A major plot point is Blanche having hurt her back in her gym class, and it is established that she is having a hard time moving. Indeed when Dorothy rushes to find Rose after hearing her scream, Blanche gets up to follow her but due to her injury she moves quite slowly. However, when Dorothy reaches the door, Blanche is right behind her, even though Dorothy did not help her and Blanche cannot move as fast as Dorothy.

Vacation - S2-E8

Revealing mistake: Blanche, Dorothy and Rose that went on the boat with the 3 guys were stranded on what appears to be a beach. However, the "beach sand" has a lot of bouncyness to it. Giving the look of foam padding of some sort with some fabric that looks like sand. The sand doesn't actually move either while they're walking on it. (00:16:11 - 00:18:40)

Vacation - S2-E8

Continuity mistake: When the girls are sitting around the campfire, the amount of burned wood changes from shot to shot. First it's partially scorched, then mostly scorched then partially scorched again.

Mozzie-6

Vacation - S2-E8

Revealing mistake: The "sand" on the beach of the supposedly lonely island Blanche, Rose, Dorothy and the three men stranded on is one solid cloth made of a rubber-like material. It wobbles and bends whenever a character's feet are on-screen.

And Then There Was One - S2-E16

Other mistake: When the father arrives to pick up baby Emily he states his wife was having triplets the night before. Yet baby Emily in the stroller is under 6 months old. How is her mom having triplets already?

And Then There Was One - S2-E16

Revealing mistake: When Rose and Dorothy unpack the groceries, Dorothy starts to open the egg carton. It tilts backwards revealing an empty carton. You can also tell it's empty when she carries it to the fridge.

Bedtime Story - S2-E17

Character mistake: When all of the ladies are sharing Sophia's bed because there's been a cold snap and she has an electric blanket, Blanche mentions that her bed has never been so cold on a Saturday night. A few minutes later, Dorothy - upset that the other ladies are keeping her awake - states that she has to get up for work "very early in the morning." Dorothy is a substitute teacher, and would not have to be up for work early on a Sunday morning.

Suggested correction: Teachers often have to work the weekend to prepare for the school week.

Knowing Dorothy, she probably made the statement about having to work - to trick the others into being quiet. But, as the script goes.

Even as a long-term sub, she wouldn't have to be up early in the morning for work just because she might have papers to grade or a lesson to prepare.

Agreed. Not a mistake.

I never believed this was a mistake. Bedtime Story aired in February 1987 and Dorothy was probably referring to her job at the museum that Blanche worked for. That episode (Joust Between Friends) aired two months earlier in December 1986, so it's possible she was still working there in the flashback (since it was never mentioned when/why she left).

I always thought that Dorothy was teaching drivers education, which was often on a weekend or after normal school hours. She complains a couple times about teaching drivers ed throughout the series.

Whose Face is This, Anyway? - S2-E20

Other mistake: In Season 2 Episode 8: Vacation, Dorothy let it slip that Rose had a nose job and never mentioned her own plastic surgery. However, here Rose says that she hates plastic surgery and Dorothy admits that she got her eyes done. (00:14:35 - 00:15:04)

To Catch a Neighbor - S2-E24

Character mistake: Sophia tells Dorothy that lying is breaking a commandment, to which Dorothy corrects her by telling her that it's not a commandment. Actually, not lying is in fact a commandment. The biblical quote is "Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor." Whether it's an error on the part of the writers or an intentional mistake for Dorothy, it's still a mistake. A Piece of Cake - S2-E25

Continuity mistake: Towards the end, when Sofia's cake is done, she takes it out of the hot oven using potholders. Less than a minute later, when the men start to conga, you can see her discard the potholders and pick it up with her bare hands. It is a glass pan and still would have been much too hot to hold.

Sophia: Rose, just remember, you're smarter than people say you are. You've got good sense, and you know what you're doing.
Rose: Oh, Sophia.
Sophia: Blanche, you're a slut.
Blanche: Oh, Sophia.

Show generally

Question: The question "How do the girls' husbands, other than Dorothy's, die?" was answered that in theory, Blanche's husband could have had a car wreck, fallen into a coma, and died while she was getting a pedicure. This is not true. Blanche stated that when George came back to her in a dream, she remembered tripping over his shoe on her way to answer the phone, thus finding out that George had died in a car wreck. Doesn't this prove that the "he had a wreck, fell into a coma, and then died during Blanche's pedicure", theory is out?

Countryrunner

Chosen answer: Yes, you are correct, as stated, In one episode Blanche said he had been in a coma for days, in the episode where she's in her dream, she said "The day you died ... The police told me you had been in an accident." Thus the original answers theory is wrong. If he had been in the accident the day he died he could not have been in a coma for days.

Valentine

Yeah, in another episode she relates how a thoughtless state trooper phoned her and told her that her husband was dead with his mouth full.
