Character mistake: Throughout much of the show, except for a few boyfriends Dorothy has had difficulties finding men to go out with her. Much of the show's humor is based around Dorothy looking unattractive and having no dates, and Sophia often desperately tried to arrange a rendezvous for her daughter. Nevertheless, in this episode, Sophia had no problem at all to find a whole bunch of men that are more than willing to go out with her, and according to the suggestive gestures Dorothy mentions, some of them apparently had a strong sexual interest in her after having seen her. They even offered their services to a cheaper price just to go out with her. Why is it so easy for Sophia to find that many men that eager to meet her daughter all of a sudden?
Miles to Go - S6-E15
Continuity mistake: In this episode Rose's boyfriend Miles is revealed to be in the witness protection program and has not had any contact with people from his past including family. However, in season 5, episode 15 his daughter visited and didn't approve of Rose.
There Goes the Bride (1) - S6-E16
Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the episode, Rose says that Miles is in Europe with some students. The episode immediately before this one, however, revealed Miles being put back into a witness protection program, and leaving Rose.
There Goes the Bride (1) - S6-E16
Continuity mistake: As the show begins, an outside shot of the house shows that it is night. Then it cuts to the scene of Blanche and Sophia playing Chess in the kitchen - when Blanche is complaining about Sophia's "do-overs" you can see outside the kitchen window and it is daytime. After Rose walks in about 30 seconds later, you can see that it is night again.
Continuity mistake: In earlier episodes we are told Blanche's middle name is "Marie", such as in the episode, "Wham, Bam, Thank You, Mammy" where in her ex-mammy calls her by her full maiden name (Blanche Marie Hollingsworth). But in this episode, she brings out her diaries to try to locate if she slept with Rose's husband Charlie, and the intials are B.E.D. - which stood for Blanche Elizabeth Devereaux.
The Case of the Libertine Belle - S7-E2
Continuity mistake: When they bring out the cake, all the candles are lit, then one candle is lit, then none, then back to one again with no one touching the cake.
Revealing mistake: When Dorothy, Blanche, Rose, and Sophia are driving on the interstate, Rose is singing. Dorothy slams on the brakes, stops, and says, "Get out, Rose." But the car that has passed the camera's view only has the driver in it.
Other mistake: Rose and Blanche are having dinner out on the patio with Rose's ex Thor. He says he has to use the restroom - the bathroom is on the other side of the house down the hall, but he's back in 20 seconds.
Plot hole: At the end of this episode, the lady who was on the TV show with Blanche and Dorothy as "partners", shows up to ask Dorothy out because her and Blanche broke up. She says "I heard about you and Blanche". How could she have heard it? They just did it at the house.
Suggested correction: We have no idea how long it was between their 'break up' and this scene. In fact, the scene where the woman asks Dorothy out occurs during the final credits. Dorothy is wearing the same clothes she had on during the 'split', so yes, it wasn't long after. Maybe she saw Blanche out on her date with the guy that broke them up and asked her about it.
Journey to the Center of Attention - S7-E19
Continuity mistake: In the first scene of the show, Dorothy has a bowl of popcorn on her lap. The amount of popcorn changes between shots. At one point it's overflowing, and at another it's about half full.
Continuity mistake: When Dorothy, Blanche, and Sophia are sitting in the reception area arguing with Kirsten, Sophia sits forward and says she loves Rose as if she was one of her own. When she sits forward, you can see the beads on her purse handle are strung tightly. When she leans back in her seat, you can see big spaces between beads, as if some have been taken off.
Character mistake: In her first appearance, Kirsten liked Dorothy, Sophia and Blanche and said that after her visit she now understands why Rose loves living with them. In her second appearance, she heavily dislikes the three women and states that she never understood why Rose preferred living with them over moving in with her.
Suggested correction: In her second appearance, Kirsten walks in while the women are laughing about something unrelated in the waiting room and her mother is in the hospital after a Heart Attack. Could it be possible that she's a bit upset, not thinking, and forgetting about what she said in her previous visit? In her first visit, she sees the positive, but subsequently she saw things she found questionable (she mentions things she sees like all of them getting into a car dressed strangely (it was for a play but she didn't know that)), and eventually her mother has a Heart Attack. She may have simply put two and two together and got five. It's a human characteristic, not a character mistake.
However, in her first appearance she specifically said at first she didn't get why Rose lives with other women but after having met the three she now understands why she's living with them. In the other episode she states she never got it in the first place.
One Flew Out of the Cuckoo's Nest (2) - S7-E26
Continuity mistake: When Sophia goes around taking pictures of Dorothy and Lukas kissing, she accidentally takes a picture of Rose and Blanche hugging. When she takes the picture, they are still hugging and see her afterwards. When the picture develops, they are both staring at the camera with shocked looks, but the picture was already out when they turned around.
