Other mistake: Lois digs up Chloe's grave site to unearth her casket. It is obvious that the casket is not buried six feet deep. You would think, with all that is going on, that LuthorCorp would have at least buried the casket deeper to deter inquisitive eyes and maybe throw in a few scattered bones for good measure.
Other mistake: In the opening credits of the original broadcast, Kristin Kreuk's first name is misspelled as "Kristen." The credits sequence, which was new for Season 5, was corrected by the time the second episode of the season aired.
Other mistake: In episode 4-14: "Krypto," Genevieve tells Jason that the heirs of a 17th century woman named Gertrude are in danger. She then tells him that they themselves are "Gertrude's ancestors." But she must mean descendants, which means the opposite of ancestors.
Other mistake: Early in the episode, Clark uses his heat vision to blow up a police car. In the shot where we see the policewoman diving for cover, there is a front view of the car as it is exploding. The license plate on the front of the car IS a Metropolis plate, however, as the plate falls off, the white placard that auto companies and dealerships place in the license plate frames on new vehicles before they are registered and which are removed once plates are installed is visible. Other mistake: Lex picks up a chisel and stabs Clark in the side. It bounces off and out of Lex's hand. The last couple inches are bent and twisted. Chisels are made from extremely tough steel. But no matter how hard Clark is, Lex is not strong enough to exert the force necessary to bend the chisel itself.
Other mistake: When the Marine officer comes to Whitneys house, he introduces himself as Lt. McNulty, but he is wearing the insignia of a Captain.
Other mistake: When Clark confronts Jason Dante and tells him the race is off, one of Dante's thug friends picks up the krptonite/nitrous oxide booster tank and only then does Clark start feeling the effects of the kryptonite. Even though the tank had been sitting out uncovered well before the guy picked it up.
Other mistake: The physics of what happens to the mallet after it hits the ring are completely unrealistic. No matter what the actual composition of red kryptonite contains, there is no way that it could reflect all of the force that was impacted upon it. Clark was also weakened by the green kryptonite. Jonathan's swing of the mallet and Clark's weakened strength would not have allowed him to keep his arm out after being struck by the mallet.
Other mistake: Krissy's mutant aging reduces her to dust and ash within seconds. Oddly enough, it takes her non-mutant clothing with her. (00:36:45)
Suggested correction: First off, we don't know what gave her powers, there's nothing to indicate a mutation. Second, we see beams of light or heat shooting out of her, indicating she's more than just rapidly ageing like her victims. Her body seems to be burning, turning her and her clothes to ash.
Other mistake: Maddie and her father can control only glass, but when at the Talon he uses his powers to pull the diamonds out of the stained glass. Diamonds aren't glass.
Suggested correction: This may not necessarily be true by the way their powers work. Remember, diamonds are a form of rock that are clear. Glass is made from melted sand, which is a ground up type of rock that becomes clear. The similarities between diamonds and glass are enough that it is possible they could still do this.
Diamonds are compressed carbon, not a form of rock. Glass is melted silicon. They're both clear materials, that doesn't mean they're equivalent, otherwise they'd be able to control clear plastic or any number of other things too.
If more explanations of their powers were discussed in the show, one might be able to conclude they do or do not have power over diamonds. However, the script only states they have power over glass, they show no propensity for power over sand itself, or other rocks and minerals. As scripted, this remains as error as it go against what is established.
Turbulence - S8-E16
Other mistake: In the article about the plane crash, the last paragraph starts to repeat the same sentence. After is says Mercer took over the operation, it repeats that she started in collaboration with Lex.
Other mistake: When Clark looks at Oliver's newspaper clipping, there's a story about an AIDS hospice being saved. But the 2nd paragraph on talks about the 2nd meteor shower to hit Smallville that has nothing to do with the hospice being saved.
Other mistake: When Clark is in the girl's room and a noise comes from the closet, Clark uses his X-Ray vision to see there's a person in there because he can see the skeleton and is surprised to see it's Lois when he opens the door. However, it's been shown before that Clark can use his X-Ray vision to see objects and people through solid objects. He should have been able to see that it was Lois rather than just a skeleton of an unknown person.
Other mistake: Throughout the series, they reuse the same footage for establishing shots of the Talon. For example, one of the shots has the Talon sign say "Silent Film Festival" with a guy holding and bouncing a basketball as they walk pass the Talon is in s02e05 and s03e11 and other episodes, including s03e10 where it's the same people but the guy is holding his jacket and further back.
Other mistake: When Jimmy wakes up in 1940, on his desk calendar it's Saturday the 3rd. The newspaper says it's May 3rd, 1940, but that was a Friday.
Other mistake: Jonathan Kent's headstone says he was born September 1, 1954. However, in "Relic", we learn Jor-El visited Smallville in 1961, where he met Jonathan's parents and his mom was pregnant with Jonathan. And we know it was him since Hiram (his dad) wanted to name their son Gene and Jessica corrects him and says his name is going to be Jonathan. Plus, if he was born in 1954, he would have been 25 when he won the high school state championship instead of a more realistic 18 if he was born in 1961.
Other mistake: The bowling scorecard for Chloe and Lana is wrong. It shows Chloe knocking down 1 pin (-|1) in the first frame but getting 3 points, then a spare in the 2nd frame but only getting 1 point. The math is wrong until the 7th frame where is ends up showing the correct score. Lana's score is correct, except on frame 9 it shows she knocked over 6 pins on her first ball and is on her 2nd ball, but when it cuts to her, all 10 pins are up. Plus an unfinished 9th frame shouldn't show a score.
Other mistake: Lois' car has the plate number "AJH 927." This is the same plate number that Senator Jennings had on his car in a previous episode, "Exposed."
