Deliberate mistake: Tim babysits his 4-year-old niece in the season 7 episode Say Goodnight, Gracie, but in season 8, which takes place the following year, Gracie and her twin sister Claire have been aged up to around 8 years old.
Character mistake: Al is holding a picture of a 1965 Mercury Comet but says it is a 1972 model.
Revealing mistake: At the very ending of the episode, when Tim runs through the back wooden fence, just before he hits the fence, you can see the loose board fall from top to the bottom and towards him before he even hits the fence.
Continuity mistake: When Tim slams on the brakes at the red light, his hand ends up on Alex's right breast, and she is facing forward and glancing down at his hand. When Jill looks at the corresponding traffic ticket that Tim got, the photo shows his hand is now in her decollete area and she is looking directly at him. (00:08:05 - 00:10:47)
Revealing mistake: When Tim gives Jill the framed photo of the two of them on their way to the Doobie Brothers concert, you can tell Tim has just been photoshopped into an existing picture of Patricia Richardson, as he is slightly out of focus despite the fact that they are standing next to each other. Dead Weight - S8-E24
Continuity mistake: At the end, Jill puts down her magazine to talk to Tim. The magazine is open, laying on her chest, but in a shot change, it is now closed.
The Long And Winding Road (3) - S8-E27
Continuity mistake: At the end of the episode, when Tim and Jill are cleaning up from the wedding, you can see where the fence was. There is a seam where the two grass carpets meet up, showing obviously artificial grass since the holes are so neat and thin and perfect, with no displaced dirt. You can even see that it is laid down in strips on Wilson's side, with multiple seams running towards the house.
Answer: In seasons 1 and 2, each Binford tool had a unique model number, but from season 3 onward, they were all numbered 6100 as a running gag.
