Trivia: Tim Allen has expressed a desire for the show to have a revival. However, instead of consisting of numerous episodes like other sitcom revivals have done, it would be a one-off one or two-hour special. The idea of a movie has also been floated. The opening would see the characters attending Wilson's funeral, as Earl Hindman, who played Wilson, died in 2003.
