Character mistake: Capt. Cragen says that Columbine shooter Eric Harris shouts, "All jocks stand up" during the massacre, when, in fact, it was the other perpetrator, Dylan Klebold who stated this. (00:12:20)
Continuity mistake: Dr. Huang and Stabler are in the interrogation room with Joe when Joe starts telling him about the voices in his head. The boy is screaming for the voices to stop when Huang comes forward to comfort him. He takes his hand down from his ears, but in the next shot they're up near his head again. (00:18:25)
Visible crew/equipment: Stabler and Benson are with Christina in the interrogation room. Christina stands up to look out the window. Shortly after, she walks away from Stabler towards the foreground camera. As she does this, an overhead microphone is briefly visible in the mirror on the left. (00:35:55)
Character mistake: When Casey is talking to Rebecca Balthus about Jennifer's defense, Balthus claims that Jennifer is innocent and intends to prove it. While she can present a defense, Balthus is not required to prove anything: the burden of proof lies solely on Casey; Jennifer possesses what is called the presumption of innocence, the basic principle that she is considered innocent until it's proven she's guilty.
Revealing mistake: After M.E. Warner tells Fin and Munch the boy was smothered to death, you can see the foot of the "dead body" twitch or move.
Birthright - S6-E1
Continuity mistake: Abigail Breslin's front teeth change length throughout the episode.
Birthright - S6-E1
Revealing mistake: When Munch is driving after the perpetrator you can see the dent in the side of the car moments before he actually hits the car and goes over the bonnet.
Other mistake: When Fin is looking at the drivers licenses of Vance and Trish, both as listed as female with identical birth dates.
Continuity mistake: When Detective Stabler is questioning Carlos Guzman at the pool, Guzman puts the drain cover on in the pool and walks towards Stabler. The camera goes to Stabler and back to Guzman, and the drain cover in the background is off.
Visible crew/equipment: A grey and black boom microphone appears above the judge just right of middle at the top of the screen as the judge grabs the note from the officer and reads it. (00:33:50)
Continuity mistake: In the beginning of the episode when the parrot first comes to Patty, it rests on her left shoulder. In the next shot, when she comes around the corner, the parrot has moved to her right arm. (00:01:30)
Factual error: When tracking the pedophile's computer his IP number reads something like 3046.23.54.68. In reality, the highest possible IP number is 255.255.255.255 because of the way the numbers are stored on the computer.
Continuity mistake: The FBI agent's fork is already loaded with egg as she picks it up. You can hear she puts food in her mouth as she is talking, but as the camera angle changes the egg is still on her fork. (00:22:00)
Visible crew/equipment: As Stabler is bringing Saul Picard to the cop car after finding him in the park, a large boom mic is visible in the reflection of the car's window as Stabler opens the door. (00:13:40)
Visible crew/equipment: After Picard headbutts Stabler into the car window and runs away, Benson runs over to comfort him. As she cradles him, the reflection in the side of the car shows the camera person filming as the shot gets closer. (00:14:05)
Deliberate mistake: When James is shot on the courthouse steps, the crowd of reporters that has gathered quickly scatters to escape the gunfire. One of them is a woman in a black windbreaker holding a camera. The camera cuts away briefly and then back to the crowd - you see the exact same people, including the woman in black running in the exact opposite direction as before. The footage was apparently mirrored and repeated for the second shot of the fleeing crowd.
Factual error: The scene where Pierson Bartlett is on the stand, he pulls a spoon out of his jacket. This would never be allowed. He wouldn't get through the metal detector with any metal that could be used as a weapon. He would either have to take it back to his car, or leave it at the security desk.
Factual error: The cast is in the squad-room trying to ascertain the location of the Marine Corp unit. Finn's says there's 2 pilots and a "door gunner" per bird. The Bell AH-1 Cobra is a 2 man lite attack helicopter that has a tandem style seating system in which the Gunner sits in front of and below the pilot. There is no room for a side door let alone a door gunner, as in the picture they use. (00:12:50)
Factual error: The way that the drug Scopolamine is described is not accurate. It does not render the victim "unable to resist instructions". It can produce "twilight sleep", delirium and euphoria, but does not give anyone complete control over another person as depicted in the episode.
Character mistake: Elliot Stabler is interrogating a suspect and he says "Well maybe he got pissy because of the 2.2 you blew into the breathalyzer." He said two-point-two but he meant point-two-two because a 2.2 BAC is like 5 times the lethal limit, so a 0 .22 BAC makes more sense. (00:20:10)
Answer: His clients are guilty and won't take a plea. He's using desperate defenses in hopes of swaying a juror or two. Also makes for better television. "Temporary insanity" isn't nearly as compelling as "the video games made me do it."
