Factual error: (Episode: Sun Block) At the beginning of the episode, all the pool patrons are watching an eclipse, the sky darkens and they watch as the moon passes in front of the sun. The process, from the moon first beginning to touch the sun's disc to total eclipse occurs in approximately one minute. It is impossible for an eclipse to happen that quickly; it would take at least an hour to complete the process shown.
Continuity mistake: In Episode 6-1 "Dangerous Son" - In the beginning when the suspect is running from the house he has his hood on, when he jumps off the roof and falls on the canopy he has no hood on, then when he gets up his hood is back on.
Continuity mistake: When Candace walks onto the pool deck Luke hugs her but he does not touch her face. When they play back the feed from his sunglass-camera. he does.
Inside Out - S6-E3
Continuity mistake: When Natalia is talking to Wolfe in the lab, Natalia is leaning on a table on her arms, then stands up straight. In the next shot, she's leaning on the table again and stands up a second time. (00:21:20)
Plot hole: Delko is rummaging in Speedle's locker. Why would Speedle still have a locker, considering he's been dead 3 years? Even if they couldn't allocate it to someone else, why are his personal effects (e.g. his wallet) still in there? Shouldn't these have been returned to his family?
You May Now Kill the Bride - S6-E14
Continuity mistake: When Calleigh and Ryan are in the lab discussing the diamond, Calleigh takes her earring off, but when she says, "The molecular structure of carbon makes it one of the hardest surfaces on Earth", her earring is back on. Then she scratches the glass with the earring she took off.
All In (2) - S6-E16
Continuity mistake: The body is discovered by two teens fishing with explosives and an arm comes up in the water. When they pull out the body that was inside a car, the victim has both arms tied up to the wheel and at the morgue she is missing one arm. We can even see the doctor cut the tape off the wheel and the victim's wrist to expecting to find prints on the inside of the tape.
Factual error: When the show begins, a man is run down by a Dodge Charger. The man's injured leg apparently cuts a bio-diesel line under the car. The Charger never was a diesel, and probably never will be. Further proof is at the show opening which showcases a very low-tone exhaust rumble which can only be a gasoline V8.
Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the episode, we see the red car falling entirely into the hole, none of the parts are out of it, but, a few shots after the CSI team has arrived, the back of the car is now out of the hole. (00:02:15)
Factual error: In Natalia Boa Vista's backstory, she states she knew Horatio from her "work with the FBI." But not all FBI agents started as LEOs (law enforcement officers). In her whole time as a CSI, she wields a badge, makes arrests, and interrogates suspects just like a cop (the ONLY 3 characters we know for certain that were LEOs were Calleigh [the flashback episode with Horatio and Jesse], Eric [the flashback episode when Horatio tells Eric to "come see me when you finish the academy"], and Ryan Wolfe, who's fresh off beat patrol when he joins CSIs). In this episode she tells Calleigh she's late to her crime scene because she just picked up her new sidearm and "now I can back you up on crime scenes!" BUT, if she were already a cop she would have been issued a firearm upon graduation. Thus, Natalia (and Walter) were never cops. This show took severe liberties with reality. Real CSIs are no more than expert witnesses, NEVER given the responsibility of arresting or interrogating suspects.
Rock and a Hard Place - S6-E19
Continuity mistake: When Alexx talks to Delko in the lab about her son, Delko's hands are resting on the fuming machine in front of him, then instantly on the table top. (00:29:05)
