Burning Down the House - S2-E15
Factual error: Eric quotes "I'm not a doctor but I play one on TV." That quote was from a commercial in 1984.
Visible crew/equipment: As Donna plays footsie with Eric in the car while driving up to Jackie's ski lodge, a crew member's arm can be seen in the backseat. (00:05:17)
Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy - S8-E11
Continuity mistake: While St. Christine and Jackie speak about honesty, the brownies in Jackie's hand suddenly switch to Christine's hands in one shot, then return. (00:20:05)
Continuity mistake: Jackie enters the basement and say: "Oh my God Donna, great story." while she is holding the newspaper by the sides. In the next shot, while the gang is laughing, she is now holding it by the bottom.
Factual error: Red takes the gang to a World Wrestling Federation event; in the '70s, it was the World Wide Wrestling Federation.
Factual error: Eric compares Jackie and Kelso's breakup dilemma to "Sophie's Choice...but for morons." Sophie's Choice was not published until 1979 (the movie in 1982), when this episode takes place in 1978. (02:49:00)
Continuity mistake: Hyde must have gone into the future to get his Spiderman pillowcase because it has the Spiderman logo from the 1990's on it, not the 1970's one.
Continuity mistake: When Donna introduces Sarah to the gang, she states that it took her 6 months of sorting records to become 'Hot Donna'. In season 3 episode 14 "Radio Daze" Donna has just started working there and gets the name 'Hot Donna' immediately. (00:01:20)
Character mistake: Kitty wants to reunite Bob and Midge together, saying it will reunite their only daughter. Bob has 3 daughters (just seen the younger one once). (00:12:30)
Visible crew/equipment: When Donna and Eric run to the car to discuss something secretly, a camera can be seen entering the right side of the scene. (00:01:55)
Moon Over Point Place (1) - S2-E26
Factual error: In one scene towards the end of the episode, Hyde is reading MAD Magazine in the Hub when Jackie interrupts him. He says he is in the middle of reading "Smokey and the Band-Aid," MAD's parody of "Smokey and the Bandit." However, the issue he has is June 1976, and the film was not released until May 1977.
Factual error: When Donna and Randy are in Eric's bedroom, Randy is playing with Eric's toy lightsaber. However, the blade is green. No green lightsaber toys were produced until after the release of "Return of the Jedi", which occurred in 1983. Moreover, the handle is the modern style, not the vintage.
Continuity mistake: When Kitty asks Red for a cat Red is reading a copy of Time magazine. He closes the magazine and puts it down on his knee while he tells her why he doesn't want a cat in the house but in the next shot the magazine is back in his hands and open to where it was before he closed it.
Eric's Drunken Tattoo - S3-E22
Revealing mistake: In the scene where Eric tries to kick Donna's door open. When he does, he falls back and hits the wall behind him, which wobbles.
Factual error: Fez wears a Sergio Valente pullover, which is a company not founded until 1981. (00:02:20)
Revealing mistake: Hyde claims he's reading a Mad Magazine spoof of Smokey and The Bandit. Look closely at the issue, and he's actually reading a spoof of the movie Dog Day Afternoon. That and Mad Magazine didn't make any parody of Smokey and The Bandit.
Revealing mistake: When Fez and Suzy first meet, they do "12345 you owe me a coke" you can see Kelso mouthing the same line as well. (00:08:04)
Other mistake: Jackie comes out of her room while Fez has Caroline over, stating that she has to use the bathroom. However, in a previous episode, during Fez and Kelso's fight for the same room, it is the room that "has its own bathroom." (00:16:00)
Character mistake: When Bob shows up in the driveway with the free calendar from Red's muffler shop, the calendar says "Foreman and Son." Their last name is spelled "Forman" without the E.
Continuity mistake: When Hyde enters the scene, his shirt is somewhat tucked behind his belt. In the following close-up shot his shirt is above the belt but returns to the tucked position in the next shot. (00:00:10)
Chosen answer: Danny Masterson is the one who screams "hello Wisconsin".
