Trivia: In the episode where Janet asks Jack if she's a bad kisser, take a look at Janet when he kisses her. Jack unexpectedly slip Janet his tongue (which surprises the audience as well) and that throws Janet off and shocks her. Her surprised face is not acting, and was really surprised he did that. You'll also notice that when they part, she can't keep a straight face.
Suggested correction: This does not happen, their kiss is closed and for 2 seconds and Janet doesn't ask about her kissing. She says before the kiss when they have few mishaps trying to kiss before the final kiss that no-one has ever picked her kissing before and his response was, "Just shut up and kiss me!" She responds, "Okay fine!" Then they kiss, mouth closed just lips.
Trivia: Once the first season with Terri started, Cindy no longer had "Snow" mentioned as her last name for the remainder of the episodes she was in (possibly due to the fact that this was the first season that started without Suzanne Somers completely and the producers wanted to retire the "Snow" surname altogether).
Trivia: Of all 5 roommates (Jack, Janet, Chrissy, Cindy, Terri), the only parent of a roommate never to appear in any episode is Cindy's mother.
An Anniversary Surprise - S3-E20
Trivia: Many TV stations over the years left out the original ending scene (the small party held before the Ropers leave). This scene explains how The New Landlord Mr. Furley knew Jack was supposedly gay in the first episode without anyone mentioning it. This ending reveals Roper told the new owners Jack was gay. Without seeing this ending, the storyline is unclear.
Trivia: Paula Shaw plays Joyce DeWitt's mother in this episode, even though in real life she's only eight years her senior.
Trivia: Near the end of this episode, a lady customer tells Jack she came "all the way from Encino" to meet him and the audience laughs at that line. For those who are unfamiliar with the Los Angeles area, Encino and downtown Santa Monica are only around 15 miles from each other (a 20 to 30 min drive usually). For LA, that's not too far.
Trivia: Jeffrey Tambor, Anne Schedeen, and Jordan Charney have all guest starred in episodes involving Chrissy, Cindy, and Terri. (To avoid confusion, Tambor's episode with Chrissy was technically an episode of "The Ropers" but in recent years played in syndication as "Three's Company").
