Continuity mistake: During the opening scene where Polly is arguing with Mrs Richards over "giving change", the loose papers on the reception counter keep disappearing and re-appearing between shots.
Gourmet Night (a.k.a. Gourmet's Paradise) - S1-E5
Revealing mistake: When the Colonel first meets Basil, the same shot is used twice of the Colonel twitching.
The Wedding Party (a.k.a. Sex) - S1-E3
Basil: Did you ever see that film, "How To Murder Your Wife"?
Major Gowen: How To Murder Your Wife"?
Basil: Yes, awfully good. I saw it six times.
Trivia: Sybil's friend, Audrey, who Sybil is frequently seen talking to on the telephone, has only one on-screen appearence in 'The Anniversary'. She is seen at the very end, when Sybil has just walked out on Basil.
Question: When Polly is laying in bed disguised as Mrs Fawlty, was that really Prunella scales playing that part? I was wondering as Polly as a more thinner face than Sybil and could never have really got away with it.
