Where There's a Will, There's a War - S10-E16
Continuity mistake: At Battalion Aid, Hawkeye gets under a table to write. An explosion knocks two of the three stacks of cardboard boxes off the table above him. When the angle changes, there's now two stacks, where there should be only one.
Follies of the Living - Concerns of the Dead - S10-E10
Continuity mistake: In the Swamp, after another drink, Charles puts a clamp on BJ's hand. As he does, the points are facing Hawkeye. In the wide shot, they're pointing at BJ. Then after Charles passes out, they're pointed at Hawkeye again.
Continuity mistake: After Klinger throws his ball, his arm stays extended outward. As the shot cuts, looking down the lane towards him, his arm is hanging straight down. Then, after the strike, he raises both arms up. A second later, his left arm is down by his side, his right doing a celebratory motion.
Visible crew/equipment: In the kitchen, as Klinger and Winchester banter back and forth, the shadow of the boom mic can be seen in the upper right corner of the shot.
Continuity mistake: When the red head woman is playing the piano, it's a double. In the close up her hair is back and you can see her face. In the wide shots her hair covers her face so as to conceal the switch.
Factual error: When Winchester is shown in the Post Op, his oak leaf and medical symbols are on the wrong lapels.
Follies of the Living - Concerns of the Dead - S10-E10
Continuity mistake: When BJ, Charles, and Hawkeye are in the Swamp getting drunk they toast to "war, the fountain of loveliness," and Charles attaches the surgical clamp to BJ's hand and it dangles with the end facing out in the closeup, but the clamp faces the opposite way in the wideshot, then it's changed again.
Communication Breakdown - S10-E6
Continuity mistake: When Charles leaves the shower with newspaper covering his privates, the newspaper at his backside is wrinkled and messed up when he enters the Swamp in the exterior shot, but next shot the papers are different and arranged neatly.
Continuity mistake: In the Swamp, as Hawkeye asks about Peg's cookies, BJ folds the cards in his hand, and places his left hand over the top. In the close up, as he answers, he suddenly has the cards back in a fan.
Continuity mistake: As Rizzo turns to Potter to give the test score, he puts his cigar in his mouth, and his right hand on his papers. The next shot the cigar is suddenly in his right hand.
Revealing mistake: During the conversation between Potter and Klinger in the Mess tent, if you look past them you can see Margaret loitering, waiting for her cue to enter.
Other mistake: Looking at the pins when Margaret bowls at the end, the 5 pin slides backwards towards the camera, but not fast enough to bounce off anything and then fly in from off screen. Granted this was done in slow motion, but the physics don't seem to add up.
'Twas the Day After Christmas - S10-E9
Continuity mistake: As Potters is talking to Winchester, he's pointing at Charles to emphasize his point. As the angle changes, his hand is suddenly lowered, and he points to the cook.
Give 'Em Hell, Hawkeye - S10-E4
Continuity mistake: After announcing that the visiting Colonel likes the project, Potter's left arm is at his side. A second later in the close up, it's behind his back.
Continuity mistake: As Potter pours the drinks for himself and Brandy, the glasses have enough for a sip. In the close up, they're a quarter to half full.
Continuity mistake: In Potter's tent, he holds the door for Brandy to enter. In the close up, you see him drop his left hand to close the door after she passes him and inside. After the angle change, his hand is back on the door, and she's just even with him walking forward.
Where There's a Will, There's a War - S10-E16
Continuity mistake: As Hawkeye climbs under the table to hide there are three small stacks of white bandage boxes on the table. When the shelling starts, all the boxes in two of the stacks fall off the table, leaving one stack. When the shot changes, there are suddenly two stacks of boxes on the table.
Plot hole: In this episode, Margaret is required to give a lecture on the use of Levophed, because it is being introduced. However, in the Episode "Period of Adjustment"(8-6), Hawkeye orders an IV of Levophed for one of his patients. (00:12:15)
Other mistake: When the scene is of the cow in the barn, the background hilly area can be a painted backdrop.
Answer: Even an Army field hospital would have SOME weapons for self-defense if the enemy attacked. What's meant is that it's not a combat outfit, and therefore wouldn't have enough weapons to actually attack anyone. (It's also mentioned a few times that the Officer of the Watch is supposed to carry a pistol at all times, but Hawkeye refuses to do it when he's in charge and Colonels Blake and Potter don't enforce the rule).
