Season 2 generally

Continuity mistake: During the introduction, the snake tries to get away from someone who is supposedly Blackadder. He gets the snake. It's head is above a black tile. There is then a close-up of the snake, Blackadder wags his finger at it. It is now above a white tile.

Bells - S2-E1

Chains - S2-E6

Continuity mistake: At the very end of the episode, when it shows you all the dead bodies, you can see Queenie to the right for a few seconds. The dagger she is holding is pointing upwards. Then there is a close-up of Queenie, who then talks back to you in Prince Ludwig's voice, and the dagger she is holding is now pointing downwards.

Beer - S2-E5

Continuity mistake: There is a knock on the front door, and Blackadder tells Baldrick to 'get the door'. Baldrick returns with it, but the front door on the set, still in place, is still visible in the background of the shot.

Beer - S2-E5

Visible crew/equipment: When Blackadder calls for Baldrick and asks for a raw turnip, as Baldrick enters, you can see some shadow moving on the left of the screen. It's not Baldrick's shadow and there's certainly no one else in the room that could make that shadow. (00:13:55)

Beer - S2-E5

Continuity mistake: When Blackadder, Queenie and Nursey are all comforting Melchett, there is a shot from the side view of Melchett, he is holding his head with his left hand. Then there is a shot from behind Melchett, he still has his hand on his head but when the shot returns to the side, Melchett no longer has his hand on his head.

Money - S2-E4

Visible crew/equipment: When Blackadder is called to the Queen's first practical joke and he says he didn't laugh because his head would fall off, the Queen says, "If you don't start soon, your head will fall off", the boom mike is visible above her head. (00:09:55)

Money - S2-E4

Revealing mistake: When Percy is holding the 'Green' in his hands, light of the green reflects on the wall behind Blackadder. However the way Percy is holding the 'green' in front of Blackadder, Blackadder's shadow should be on the wall behind him, but it isn't. It's obvious green lighting is used to light up the back wall. Plan B: Corporal Punishment - S4-E2

Blackadder: I remember Massingbird's most famous case - the Case of the Bloody Knife. A man was found next to a murdered body. He had the knife in his hand, thirteen witnesses had seen him stab the victim and when the police arrived he said 'I'm glad I killed the bastard.' Massingbird not only got him off, he got hom knighted in the New Year's Honours list, and the relatives of the victim had to pay to get the blood washed out of his jacket.

Answer: The closest we ever get to knowing his first name is in series 3, when he claims it's "Sod Off". Blackadder asks him in series 3 where this came from, and he replies "Well, when I was a kid, living in the gutter, I'd go up to the other kids and say 'Hello, I'm Baldrick'. And they'd say, 'Yes, we know. Sod off, Baldrick.'" The S in this series is likely a reference to that, but it's not addressed, and given this Baldrick is clearly different from the series 3 Baldrick, we can't draw a direct link.
