Grandpa Jack - S9-E4
Question: This is a question without a knowable answer. But I wonder if anyone has thoughts as to why we hear nothing of Elliot's mother? Jack and Elliot are estranged. Elliot's mother, Bonnie (originally played by Rosie O'Donnell), acknowledged to Jack that she is a lesbian in the original run of the series. So, when Elliot marries a conservative woman, moves to Texas, and makes plans to send his gay son to a gay conversion camp, where is Bonnie in all of this?
Question: I am just wondering who played Laila and Ben as toddlers?
The Truth About Will & Dogs - S1-E10
Question: Who are the Ronco Fry Daddy, the Von Bulows and the Lingbergh baby, which are all mentioned in this episode, and how do the jokes relate to them?
Oh, No, You Di-In't (2) - S6-E24
Question: Karen marries Lyle, and Harry Connick Jr. tells Will he cheated on Grace. I'd like to know what kind of necklace was Karen wearing, that dropped down with the pendant hanging on it?
Answer: My best guess from examining the necklace in pictures would be that it is a silver chain accented with small diamonds placed at equidistant intervals. The pendant looks to be a shell cameo, but it's hard to make out from a distance. The costume designer for the episode is listed as Lori Eskowitz-Carter. She does have a Facebook page. In service to your question, I sent her a message asking about the necklace, and will add an update to this post if and when I receive an answer. You might get a faster response by paying Facebook $1.00, which will get the message directly to her in-box. She may not see my question unless she looks for it.
Bacon & Eggs - S5-E2
Question: When Kevin Bacon says "that was a small one" I know that he is refering to 6 Degrees Of Bacon, but what I want to know is where did that start?
Answer: A history of the game can be found at http://www.fast-rewind.com/bacon.htm.
Question: Will and the others are in line to buy Barry Manilow tickets when the box office opens at 6:00 a.m. the next morning (it is established that the episode takes place before midnight) and at one point Rudy states that the show is "tomorrow night." My question: is it common in New York for a fairly popular performer to sell tickets only on the day of the show? I live in Southern California and I can't think of a single time I've heard of a concert headliner selling tickets less than a month before the show.
Chosen answer: I'm not from New York so I can't speak for them, but in Chicago it has happened before. not very often though but I do recall it happening. I have also seen no tickets sold prior to the show at all, it was just first come first served the night of the show. That is very uncommon though.
Question: Does anyone know who is credited as Uncle Jerry's voice when Grace plays the cassette?
Answer: The director, James Burrows.
Answer: Jerry Van Dyke, brother of Dick and star of the old 60's TV series, "My Mother The Car".
Answer: The voice of Uncle Jerry is director, James Burrows.
Answer: Ronco is a company that makes infomercial products - the Fry Daddy is a deep-fat fryer. Claus von Bulow tried to kill his wife Sunny by giving her an insulin overdose. It was never proven and Sunny is still in a coma. Claus in particular is portrayed as cold and heartless (see the movie Reversal of Fortune) and not the sort you want babysitting. World-famous aviator Charles Lindbergh's infant son was kidnapped and murdered. In what was known then as "the trial of the century", Bruno Hauptmann was found guilty and later executed although many doubt his guilt.
