Other mistake: Sometimes the characters refer to Operation Nightfall as taking place in Bosnia while other times it is referred to as taking place in Kosovo.
Other mistake: When Jack sits down in room 2, his watch says 2:50, despite the time being 1:05. His watch is correct in other scenes so it's not that it's set wrong or broken. (00:05:00)
Other mistake: When David is talking to his son on the balcony he asks if he (Keith) could live with everything being about him. This is during a split screen where you can see David's head in both shots. In one shot his head moves to the side, but in the other shot that is supposedly at the same time, his head doesn't move. (00:14:20)
11:00 P.M.-12:00 Midnight - S1-E24
Other mistake: Mason asks Nina the ETA on the tactical teams, to which she responds "Five on the Alpha, Eight on the Beta." There's a timecheck 3 minutes later, and after the break they still haven't arrived. Team Alpha continues to be more and more late than estimated. Jack begins to break into a van, still no tactical team has arrived. Jack kills Victor Drazen at the 17:47 time check, still no back up. They finally show up at around the 31 minute mark. (00:08:00 - 00:21:15)
11:00 P.M.-12:00 Midnight - S1-E24
Other mistake: As David is walking away from Sherry, there is daylight flooding into the ballroom, just 20 minutes before midnight. (00:32:30)
Day 2: 11:00 P.M.-12:00 Midnight - S2-E16
Other mistake: In German Television the clock at the end switches from 23:59:59 to 23:00:00.
Day 2: 5:00 A.M.-6:00 A.M. - S2-E22
Other mistake: In the beginning of the episode when the show is starting and the credits are rolling, instead of Billy Burke the credit is shown as Billy Gurke.
Day 2: 6:00 A.M.-7:00 A.M. - S2-E23
Other mistake: When President Palmer is at District Headquarters, he addresses one of the workers as "Heather," but the character is credited as "Linda."
Day 2: 7:00 A.M.-8:00 A.M. - S2-E24
Other mistake: In the shootout at the stadium, several times when Jack fires a gun the sound of the gun firing is heard but it is obvious that the gun did NOT fire. Most noticeable when Jack fires the third shot at the man behind the wall and when he is struggling for the gun with the last guy who he beats up.
Day 3: 5:00 P.M.-6:00 P.M. - S3-E5
Other mistake: At about 5:36 Jack and Ramon are playing Russian Roulette. Right before Ramon nods to Jack indicating the bullet will be fired, we see a shot of the gun from behind revealing the next chamber to be empty. The trigger would need to be pulled two more times in order to fire the bullet. (00:29:10)
Day 4: 4:00 A.M.-5:00 A.M. - S4-E22
Other mistake: After Michelle and Tony kiss, he goes away and she says 'Tony, be careful'. In the next episode in the "previously on 24" section Michelle whispers it to his ear. (00:29:30)
Day 5: 8:00 PM - 9:00 PM - S5-E14
Other mistake: When Jack enters the empty hotel room of Colette and Theo, a chair is rolling across the floor to the right of the screen.
Other mistake: During the explosion from the tape recorder, there is a very short explosion shot recycled from a previous season (when Christopher locks Jack in a bunker and tries to kill him with a bomb placed in a clipboard). This old footage is also seen when that tape recorder explosion is shown on recaps of the event in season 6.
Day 6: 7:00 AM - 8:00 AM - S6-E2
Other mistake: At 7:45 Ahmed leads Scott out of his house at gunpoint so he can go to Scott's house. At 8:14 they arrive. But Scott's house is just across the street so we're supposed to believe that it takes half an hour to cross the street.
Day 7: 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM - S7-E9
Other mistake: When Morris drops Chloe off at the FBI, he asks if she's sure she doesn't need his help. In the subtitles, Morris' name is incorrectly displayed as "Miles".
Day 8: 8:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M. - S8-E5
Other mistake: In the car Jack practises his cover story posing as a German arms dealer. But when he mentions his fake name Ernst Meier he says it in the English way, not in the German one. No man with German language knowledge would say it in this very wrong way, and it would give him away immediately. (00:22:05)
Answer: According to Jack in season 5, Nina was "deep cover" before the pair ever met, so it's safe to assume she was recruited before she joined CTU. As for what her primary mission was, who knows? Perhaps it was to gather sensitive intel and pass it on to her superiors. Given that she worked for an intelligence agency, it's not a stretch. Or perhaps we may find out in season seven.
