Continuity mistake: The bad guys at the beginning of the episode shoot Wendy and send her flying. Her gun falls to the ground with her and in the foreground we see that it falls with the grip facing away from her. In the rest of the scene it's facing towards her, and the position of the gun itself on the ground changes often. (00:01:20)

Continuity mistake: Van pretends to surrender to the three armed marauders. There's a close-up of a revolver inside a casket.The revolver lies practically in front of the adjoined hands of the dead person. In the wide shot from above it is resting on the side of the flower bed instead. (00:01:50)

Continuity mistake: When the bandit shoots Van, and he quickly counters using his weapon, behind the bandit you can see the corpses of the other villagers; amongst them, look at the one who died with his back against the casket ending up in a sitting position. His legs go towards his right, in the previous and following part of the scene they are straight. (00:02:25)

Continuity mistake: The mayor tries to bribe Van offering him a succulent steak. In its first close-up, the steak shares the plate with a side of carrots and broccoli. Van then cakes the steak up with increasingly ridiculous amounts of condiment until it's a blob of salad dressing with streaks of ketchup and mayo. He cuts and eats a portion of it. When he's by the window, the dressing is gone, the steak is covered just by the green sauce, and he sticks the fork inside the piece he already cut earlier. (00:05:10)

Character mistake: During Lucky's initial display of power at the gates of the settlement, he fires a cannon shot at the building and shouts (in the English dub) "How do you like that? Bullseye." There's a view of the building and you can read the horseshoe sign; "Evergreen SHOPING Mall." (00:07:15)

Continuity mistake: When the Mayor begs Van to be their yojimbo, notice the assistant and Wendy; both are leaning against the window peeking at the retreating army, but both change position significantly between one shot and the other. (00:07:50)

Continuity mistake: After Van is hit by the bullet in the heart, we see the citizens of Evergreen that are mobilizing. The two buses that act as gate to the village are positioned front to back, while in the rest of the episode they were and will be facing each other. (00:14:30)
Takishîdo wa kaze ni mau - S1-E1
Other mistake: Van and Lucky play a game where they draw cards in turn until someone finds the Joker. They draw a 4 of hearts, a 7 of spades, a 9 of diamonds, the ace of clubs. They were stacking the cards in two separate decks, each one to their own right, but in the rest of the scene all the discarded cards are tossed together in a heap, and the aforementioned cards, which should be on the bottom of it, are the ones who always appear in the various shots of the table at the top of the bunch.
Continuity mistake: Wendy has to get on her tiptoes to reach the counter at the hotel lobby. However, when she looks at Carmen99 talking to Van, she reaches the counter comfortably without having to do so. (00:03:25)
Continuity mistake: In the moustached mayor's office, Van opens a drawer and finds "The wonderful YoRoI nation project." The report in close-up rests on a stack of papers that weren't there before the cut - or at least the report was in a different position and you couldn't see papers underneath it. (00:13:50)
Other mistake: The mayor and his crew have moustaches that defy any logic, still it should be noted that Van cuts them when they are extended for several feet but you see the cut and subsequent regrowth starting back from there a normal (for the average human) length.
Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the episode, Nero pours himself some booze. There's a discontinuity between the two shots - he's got the bottle in hand all of a sudden and the glass is suddenly there. Additionally, throughout the scene the same glass appears and disappears and the bottle is turned in a direction and then the opposite multiple times. (00:01:55)
Continuity mistake: Wendy shows up at the door of the saloon, out of breath. Her hand is on a recognizable spot of the door (between panels), but in the reverse shot her arm is positioned much lower. (00:03:15)
Continuity mistake: Van fills to the brim the plate of fries with honey, which spills on the table. The table is honey-less afterwards, but let's make it slide because of the comical exaggeration; still the plate shows all the honey throughout the scene except when one of the old men pushes it away to put the big plate of tacos; part of the original plate is still in frame and the honey is gone. (00:04:40)
Continuity mistake: Tired of the old men's tirades, a group of young whippersnappers shouts at them. Look at the one with the bowler hat; suddenly a glass is in his hand at the first cut, and the bottle next to him faces the opposite way. (00:05:50)
Continuity mistake: Barrio throws his book at the disrespectful lad at the table. The book has some golden decoration on its spine, which looks completely different when the hooligan picks it up compared to when it was in Barrio's hands. (00:06:10)
Continuity mistake: Nero falls backwards as he angrily replies to the youngsters. He is not holding anything, but when we see him on the floor, he brought two bottles with him. (00:06:10)
Continuity mistake: The young punks punch Nero in the face and send him into the arms of his mate. The camera angle changes, and the guys they are facing change clothes. (00:06:45)
Other mistake: During Yukiko's song the camera pans across the pictures of the old team. The plaque in memory of the deceased member says "Chizuru Steavens", which just does not sound right. And in fact, when it cuts to a close-up, the last name is fixed and the woman is now Chizuru Stevens. (00:07:50)
Continuity mistake: Chizuru's daughter tells Wendy that she can read one of her books; between shots, Wendy is holding the encyclopedia with her fingers positioned at different height. (00:08:50)
