Give Me Something Good to Eat - S1-E2
Continuity mistake: After Chucky tells Caroline that killing is "good, clean fun for the whole family," Caroline goes from holding the video game controller down on her lap to up by her face between cuts.
Give Me Something Good to Eat - S1-E2
Continuity mistake: When Lexy starts kissing Junior at the party, her hand appears on his face between cuts.
Give Me Something Good to Eat - S1-E2
Revealing mistake: When Chucky is walking around on the street in the "Hello Kitty" mask, you can tell it's someone in a costume, primarily because you can see a little bit of their (very fleshy) neck at the bottom of the mask a few times.
Give Me Something Good to Eat - S1-E2
Other mistake: When Devon is texting Jake on the street, his thumbs typing don't match the words as they appear in the slightest. (True, it takes texts a second to send, but sometimes he's "typing" after they appear.)
Give Me Something Good to Eat - S1-E2
Continuity mistake: When Lexy's mom is about to show Lexy Caroline's picture of Chucky, she leans down towards Caroline when she says, "No, honey, he's not." Two shots later she's standing again and leans down a second time. She's on camera in every shot, and you can see she didn't stand up between those two shots.
Give Me Something Good to Eat - S1-E2
Continuity mistake: When Bree mentions that the chances of two accidental deaths around Jake are "a billion to one", in the first shot she has both hands on her wine glass, but in the next shot, she's only holding it with one hand.
Give Me Something Good to Eat - S1-E2
Continuity mistake: When Chucky tells Jake that accidents happen more often than murders, his left arm goes from down at his side to up and gesturing between cuts.
Give Me Something Good to Eat - S1-E2
Other mistake: Chucky's right middle finger is slightly but noticeably discoloured when he's talking to Jake in the bedroom near the beginning of the episode. It looks a bit more dull and grey than his other fingers. The "sculpt" also looks a bit rougher than the other fingers. It doesn't look like this in any other scene. (I'm assuming something happened to his finger during filming, and the special effects team had to rush to fix it during filming.)
Give Me Something Good to Eat - S1-E2
Continuity mistake: When Chucky tells Jake that he has a queer child, he lowers his arm when it cuts to the over-the-shoulder shot. When it cuts back to the front shot, his arm is back up again.
Give Me Something Good to Eat - S1-E2
Continuity mistake: When Devon's mom is interviewing Bree and Logan near the beginning, when she asks them about Junior, Bree's arms change positions between cuts.
Give Me Something Good to Eat - S1-E2
Continuity mistake: When Jake tells Junior to call 911, Junior sets down a magazine. In the next shot, you can just barely see that there's suddenly some pamphlets on top of the magazine, even though it should be on top of them.
Continuity mistake: When Jake's dad slams down the glass of liquor onto the table, in the first shot, his hand is a solid foot away from the edge of the table. But when the camera cuts, it's suddenly over the top of the table and slamming the glass down.
Continuity mistake: When Jake's dad sets down the bottle of liquor in the close-up shot after the talent show, the bottle is quite full, with the liquor level being right under the little insignia on the bottle. When it cuts to the wide shot, suddenly there's less liquor in the bottle, with the liquid being about 2-3" below the insignia.
Visible crew/equipment: When Lexy is scared in the classroom and stands up, there's a closeup of her eyes, and you can see a very clear reflection of a lighting bounce-card in her eyes.
Continuity mistake: After Jake storms out of the cafeteria, the amount of juice in his cup decreases between shots, even though he didn't drink any before he left.
Continuity mistake: Throughout the cafeteria scene, as Jake and Devon talk, Devon's hands change positions instantly between cuts numerous times, especially when he's asking Jake about being on his podcast.
Continuity mistake: When Jake and Devon are talking in the cafeteria, the position of Jake's cellphone and headphones that he set down changes multiple times, revealing different parts of different takes were used.
Continuity mistake: When Junior and Lexy walk away from Jake in the school hallway (right after Lexy asks if Jake needs money), in the first shot, there's nobody behind them. But in the next shot, suddenly two people are right behind them.
Audio problem: When Jake gets to school, a kid tells him his Good Guy doll is "cool." Jake asks if he wants to buy it, and the kid replies, "No thanks." But his mouth isn't moving. (The shot cuts while he's saying it, but you can tell his mouth isn't moving.)
Audio problem: When Jake is researching how much Good Guy dolls sell for on his laptop, you can hear a phantom mouse-clicking sound, even though he's not using a mouse.
Answer: They were blamed for the death of Jake's foster brother, which was deemed a terrible accident, and they were sent to the reform school as a punishment. Presumably, when they had to leave the reform school given what happened, they were instead given community service as punishment.
