Continuity mistake: When Tiffany is talking about how she prefers Nica over Chucky and she's walking around, the things on the table subtly move around between cuts. Ex. Tiffany's wine glass subtly moves, the blue lighter on top of the cigarettes near Nica disappears, the cards are in different positions, etc.

Continuity mistake: When Nica (pretending to be Chucky) is playing cards with Tiffany, when Tiffany is trying to quiz her and makes the remark about "I never figured you to be the sentimental type, Chucky", her wine glass goes from on the table to in her hand between cuts.

Continuity mistake: When Nica (pretending to be Chucky) is playing cards with Tiffany, Nica's hair subtly changes between shots multiple times depending on the angle. Ex. Sometimes she has some brushed back, sometimes not. Sometimes there's a strand hanging down on the left side of her face, sometimes not. Etc.

Continuity mistake: When Nica (pretending to be Chucky) is playing cards with Tiffany, the jack of diamonds and three of spades swap places between shots. It happens quickly so slow motion helps but is NOT required.

Continuity mistake: During the flashback when Chucky and Tiffany buy the car, when Tiffany slits the seller's throat, he rotates 90 degrees between cuts, from facing Chucky to facing the car.

Continuity mistake: When the Chucky lifts up the knife to stab the little girl at the beginning of the episode and says "YOU made me do this!", his arm goes from up to down in the next shot when the little girl says "Do what?"
Continuity mistake: When the hostage smacks Nica and she's on the floor, the position she's in changes between cuts as she's sort-of rolling around and Chucky takes back over her body.
Continuity mistake: As Tiffany storms off after getting into an argument with Nica/Chucky, Nica/Chucky teleports about ten feet between cuts.
Continuity mistake: When Tiffany talks about wanting Swedish meatballs, her left hand goes from down by her side to up on her hip between cuts.
Continuity mistake: When Tiffany asks the hostage if he's "enjoying the show", Nica/Chucky goes from standing on her knees to sitting between cuts.
Continuity mistake: In the flashback, as human Chucky watches the girls having sex on the bed, his arm holding the cigarette goes from all the way out to bent up at a 90-degree angle between cuts.
Continuity mistake: When Michelle and Nathan are fighting, right before Nathan grabs the wine bottle and walks off, he puts his hands up by his forehead. In the next shot, they're suddenly down by his shoulders.
Continuity mistake: When Nathan comes back in after throwing out Chucky, Michelle makes a motion as though she put down the wine bottle, then starts to turn back to Nathan. In the next shot, she puts down the bottle and starts to turn back to Nathan a second time.
Continuity mistake: After Lexy sees Nathan with the doll, Michelle's wine glass is empty. She picks up the bottle and pours a small splash into her glass. Then, the next time we see the glass, it has at least a half-cup of wine in it - far more than the little splash we just saw her pour.
Continuity mistake: When Lexy is about to start the dishwasher, Michelle's left hand goes from up by her chest to down by her side between cuts.
Continuity mistake: During the dinner scene, right after Jake's phone goes off, as Logan says "In a week or two we're gonna have you back out there runnin'!", his fork flips 180 degrees in his hand.
Continuity mistake: When Lexy is beating up the Tommy doll, when she throws it on the floor and starts slamming it, Nathan's hands appear on his knees between cuts when it cuts to the high-angle shot. In-between those same two shots, Lexy and Chucky also rotate about 45 degrees towards Nathan.
Continuity mistake: As Lexy approaches Caroline after she gets the Tommy doll, her hand goes from clenched in a fist to open between cuts.
Continuity mistake: When Nathan gives Caroline the Tommy doll, the way she hugs it changes between cuts.
Continuity mistake: When the kids are spraying themselves in the basement to disinfect themselves, Lexy goes from facing down to facing up between cuts.
Answer: They were blamed for the death of Jake's foster brother, which was deemed a terrible accident, and they were sent to the reform school as a punishment. Presumably, when they had to leave the reform school given what happened, they were instead given community service as punishment.
