Continuity mistake: Eugene is leaving the American legation in Japan by sitting on the back of a truck. In the shot of him sitting down, the bottom of his jacket can be seen going over the side of the truck (positioned behind him). When the truck starts to drive away a few seconds later, the bottom of his jacket is now shown hanging over the back of the truck (positioned to the side of him). (00:12:51)

Continuity mistake: When Ae-sin is tending to the wound on Dong-mae's arm, she ties a piece of cloth around the wound. In the close-up of his arm, the knot is tied so that it is facing his sleeve. When the shot cuts, the knot has suddenly rotated 90°. (00:26:29)

Continuity mistake: After a guard is heard shouting "Stop for a moment", Dong-mae is shown watching from a distance. The camera then cuts to a shot of Dong-mae standing beside a building. When it cuts to a closer shot of Dong-mae, a woman suddenly appears in the background walking into the alley way behind him. (00:29:02)

Continuity mistake: When Chun-sik and Il-sik are talking with Nam-jong, they are both eating a corn-on-the-cob. In the shot of her saying "I heard that you do anything people need done", the cob that Chun-sik is holding is away from his face. But in the next shot, he is suddenly eating the cob. (00:40:32)

Factual error: When Eugene is searching through the drawers for the list of Joseon mobs, a book with Yogi Berra listed on the spine can be seen on top of the drawers. Yogi Berra didn't begin his baseball career until 1946, and he wasn't even born until 1925, over 20 years after this episode takes place. (00:18:40)

Trivia: Daily Mail journalist Frederick McKenzie takes a photo of the Righteous Army, which is stated to be the only existing photo of Korea's freedom fighters. This photo is a direct recreation of a real-life photo of the Righteous Army, taken by Frederick McKenzie (who was a real-life war journalist) and is to date, the only existing photo of Korea's freedom fighters. (00:30:12)
