Continuity mistake: When Ae-sin is speaking with Hui-seong near the start, in the shot where she says "Come back another time", the flowers that Hee-sung is holding are held at a rotated angle. But in the next shot, the flowers are being held at a vertical angle. (00:05:34)

Continuity mistake: When Eugene returns to his office, after Moore asks "did you get your revenge", the shot cuts to Gwan-su saying "He kept asking, so I had to tell him" and we can see Eugene removing one of his gloves. In the next shot, the glove is back on his hand and then removes it a second time. (00:12:26)

Continuity mistake: At the start of the scene where Hui-seong is sitting at the poker table, in the wide shot where he says "It either my parents...", no smoke can be seen coming out of the smoking pipe he is holding, but when it cuts to a closer shot, smoke is suddenly coming out of the pipe. Continuity mistake: When Hui-seong is holding the playing card at the poker table, the shot continuity is extremely poor. In some shots, the top of the card can be seen sticking out above his fingers, while in other shots his hand completely obscures the card. Also, in some shots his hand is raised to his chin, while in others, it is at a rotated angle. (00:18:04)

Continuity mistake: Ms. Haman is shown placing a vase filled with flowers down on a desk. In the first shot, her right hand is around the top of the vase, while her left is near the bottom. In the next shot, both hands are near the top. (00:19:40)

Continuity mistake: When Gwan-su grabs the interpreter by his robes, the ribbons used to tie the man's hat can be seen in Gwan-su's fist. The ribbons are positioned towards the interpreter. Two shots after this, the ribbons are suddenly pointed to the right. (00:52:22)

Continuity mistake: Gwan-su and the interpreter get into a kerfuffle. Gwan-su is shown holding onto him with one hand, but in a wide shot, he is suddenly holding onto him with both hands. The interpreter is also suddenly holding onto Gwan-su, something he wasn't doing in the previous shot. (00:52:30)

Factual error: The American flag shown waving outside the White House is the current present-day flag with 50 stars. From 1896 to 1908, (the time period that this show is set in) the US flag only had 45 stars as Oklahoma, New Mexico, Nebraska, Alaska and Hawaii were not recognised as states in that time period. The flag did not have 50 stars until 1960. (00:04:30)

Trivia: Daily Mail journalist Frederick McKenzie takes a photo of the Righteous Army, which is stated to be the only existing photo of Korea's freedom fighters. This photo is a direct recreation of a real-life photo of the Righteous Army, taken by Frederick McKenzie (who was a real-life war journalist) and is to date, the only existing photo of Korea's freedom fighters.
