The most egregious size problem happens when Amuro sticks the mace weapon into the Gaw, and somehow the staff used as weapon by an 18-meters tall robot, with a big energy attachment at the end, is small enough to run between two soldiers in a narrow corridor. Plot hole: White Base and the interior of Luna II withstand without a scratch the explosion of the thermonuclear reactor from the Magellan from just a few meters, while the blast literally vaporizes the Zaku far away from the entrance and threatens to damage the Musai, hundreds of meters away.
