Continuity mistake: In "Spook Louder" (1943), when Moe is hit in the face with a cream pie, he drops the club he is carrying. In the next shot, he is holding the club and drops it again.
Continuity mistake: In the episode "Oily To Bed, Oily To Rise" (1939), the Stooges pick up the three men who own the car. While arguing about the deed, the Stooges are standing in the back seat area (no-one was driving at this point) and the other three men are sitting in the back seat. After a quick camera change outside of the car, the camera is back on the men and now suddenly the Stooges are in position where the three other men were and vice versa. This was part of the plot so the Stooges can throw them out of the car, but the sudden switching of positions is unrealistic.
Other mistake: In "Busy Buddies" (1944), Curly pastes a Carrot County Fair poster onto a fence but has it upside down. In a close-up, the image of the poster is in reverse.
Other mistake: In "Dunked In The Deep" (1949), Moe, Larry and Shemp go to a pier where a ship is docked. The picture of the ship has been flipped and the ship's name, SAN CAPEADOR, appears in reverse.
Continuity mistake: In "Self-Made Maids," Moe, Larry and Shemp play dual roles, appearing as artists and as three models, Moella, Larryella and Shempella. In one scene, Larryella squeezes Shemp's hand while he's holding a tube of black paint. The paint squirts only on his face but in the next shot there are also paint spatters on his smock. When he returns to his easel, the paint on his face and smock has disappeared.
Character mistake: In "Movie Maniacs," the Three Stooges arrive in Hollywood via train, sneak into a movie studio and walk onto the set of a movie being filmed. A starlet looks at Curly and says, "Oh, Mr. Howard." There is no way she could have known his name.
Revealing mistake: In the episode "Disorder in the Court" (1936), Moe and Larry start playing Tic Tac Toe on the prosecutor's chair with chalk and Moe first puts "X" on the upper left square. The prosecutor then sits down on the chair and when then standing up to object, the marks which copies on to his jacket from behind don't match. The "X" is gone and shows an "O" in that square where it should have copied the "X".
Continuity mistake: In the episode "Scheming Shemers" (1956), after Moe reaches into his tool bag to get Larry out of the drain, he holds a plunger in his left hand and a wrench in his right hand. The camera suddenly changes angles towards the sink as Moe arrives and now the plunger and wrench are each held now in the opposite hand instantly.
Revealing mistake: In the shorts "In the Sweet Pie and Pie", and "Disorder in the Court", when there is stunt to be done that would hurt Curly, the stunt double is easily identified.
Continuity mistake: In Malice at the Palace, after the fruit is wiped away from the guard's face, he turns to look at Moe. After a quick cut, the man repeats looking at Moe.
Continuity mistake: In "Malice in the Palace", the big guard menaces Shemp until Shemp starts flinging fruit with a sword. Before the first piece of fruit hits the man's face, his face was clean, then there's remnants on his face, suggesting multiple takes.
Continuity mistake: In the episode "Malice in the Palace", Larry drops a hot dog after plating them, and never notices. After setting the cat up with a hot dog, the one on the floor, along with the small amount of water, has disappeared.
