Continuity mistake: Right after the opening credits Matthew asks Dave to come over to his desk. Matthew has one of his hands on his head. The shot changes and both hands are now holding a pencil.

Coda - S2-E20

Continuity mistake: When Lisa is helping Joe with the test he gets her a soda, he puts it on the table she then moves it. It is right next to the can of peanuts. Lisa is seen moving the can of peanuts back, there is one shot that shows it now behind the can of soda, then the next shot they are again next to each other.

Character mistake: When talking about poker Jimmy asks Dave "What are the chances of getting five of a kind of the same suit?" The most you can get is four of a kind and they would be all different suits.

Suggested correction: Jimmy says "in the same suit" which is slightly different than "of the same suit." It was just a weird way of saying the odds of getting a flush. Lisa replies with 504.8 (the odds of getting a flush). In poker lingo, 3 or 4 of a kind is taken to mean same value since 3 or 4 cards in the same suit isn't anything.

At the end, Dave has an actor friend pretend to be Scott Adams, creator of "Dilbert", to get Matthew to quit the job at the coffee shop. The real Scott Adams appeared in the beginning of the show, in line at the coffee shop where Matthew first discovers "Dilbert."
