Death in Paradise

In the Footsteps of a Killer - S6-E7

Character mistake: Jack asks which one of the two saints is the Saint Ursula venerated in Saint Marie, and mentions the Ursula martyred by the Huns, and Ursula Micaela Morata, with the gift of bilocation. Being this thoroughly informed, he should know that the second is not a Saint, but a Venerable. (00:17:20)

Murder from Above - S7-E1

Character mistake: Florence grabs the victim's phone with a tissue to avoid leaving prints...but then uses her other bare hand to go through her messages via touchscreen. In many other scenes she's just seen wearing latex gloves. (00:12:30)

Murder from Above - S7-E1

Character mistake: A computer display of currency transactions shows the word "withdrawal" spelled as "withdrawl." (It is also spelled correctly higher up on the display). (00:25:05)

The Stakes Are High - S7-E2

Character mistake: Dwayne tells Jack on the crime scene that the victim (who had two aces, with one ace on the board) he had "three of a kind or as the pros say, trips." Pros don't say "trips" to that though, since "trips" happens when two cards matching one you have in hand are on the table. Holding the pair makes it a "set." (00:06:25)

Melodies of Murder - S7-E8

Character mistake: JP says, twice, that the tapes found at the shack are from the same day Jasmine was murdered. Jack then says "June 5th, 1988." But as Commissioner Selwyn Patterson said, Jasmine was killed June 3rd. Jack repeats the date being the 5th later after the visit to Leon. Who's right, is anybody's guess. (00:14:25 - 00:31:20)

Melodies of Murder - S7-E8

Character mistake: Commissioner Patterson begins the narration of the past events with a date, June 3, 1988. It's the day Jasmine died. When Dwayne a couple minutes talks about the band splitting, he mentions that there had been tension before that incident, and says that the band in the summer of 1988 had a tour planned, but Jasmine put a halt to it halfway through. It seems kinda difficult for someone who dies in early June, to put a halt halfway through a summer tour (and that fact being presented as something completely distinct from the person's death). Melodies of Murder - S7-E8

Character mistake: Interrogating Delmar Brown, Jack mentions to him that "Back in '85, the band went on tour to Europe." But the tour, as established by the Commissioner, Dwayne and Florence's bank statements, happened in 1988. (00:19:40)

Episode #1.5 - S1-E5

Plot hole: Leon Hamilton is the most hated man in Sainte Marie, with over 900 people on the island conned by him. Yet exactly one person in the whole island knows how he looks like, every newspaper and website never ever published a picture of him even during the very public trial when they were trying to get their thousands of dollars back nor publish an archive picture after his death.

Man Overboard: Part 2 - S6-E6

DI Jack Mooney: My grandfather told me a story once, about these two wolves fighting inside all of us. And one of them is anger, envy, self-pity, regret. The other one is love, truth, faith, hope, that sort of thing.
And I asked him "which one of the wolves would win?" And do you know what he said?
"The one you feed."

Question: Why did the cord on the wall phone in the police station change from straight in the early episodes to coiled later?

Answer: There's probably no particular reason. Sets and props on long-running TV shows often change as needed and for various reasons throughout a series run.
