Chapter Two: Trick or Treat, Freak - S2-E2

Continuity mistake: As Hopper and El sit down to breakfast after she has surprised him as a ghost, he tells her he will bring candy home etc. When the camera is on Hopper, El is leaning on the table, but when the camera is facing her, she is leaning back.

Chapter Five: Dig Dug - S2-E5

Continuity mistake: When Mike and Will are discussing Will's visions near the start of the episode, the sweat stain on the front of Will's shirt disappears and reappears between shots. (00:01:30)

Chapter Eight: The Mind Flayer - S2-E8

Factual error: Joyce asks Will if he remembers when he was 8 and she bought him that giant box of crayons for his birthday - the 120 pack. Will is 13 in the show, so when he was 8, it was 1979. There were only 78 colors available in 1979 and the 120 crayons box was not available until 1998, almost 20 years later.

Chapter Nine: The Gate - S2-E9

Factual error: The military convoy has Desert Tan HMMWVs (Humvees). The Army didn't take delivery of the first ones until 1985 and they certainly were not painted Desert Tan until 1991 in the Gulf War.

Chapter One: Suzie, Do You Copy? - S3-E1

Continuity mistake: Steve is talking to Robin about striking out. Two girls come in and Robin encourages him to talk to them. In the first angle his shirt is lower and you can see his chest hair. Cut to the other side as he flips around to talk to the girls, and his shirt has moved up. (00:24:15)

Chapter One: Suzie, Do You Copy? - S3-E1

Factual error: When Dustin's toy collection "comes to life" (thanks to Eleven), one of the robots is the Transformer Ultra Magnus. Though it appears to be modified with a motorized engine that the actual toy didn't have, that's not the mistake, as there no reason Dustin couldn't have modified it. The error is that the season is set in July 1985, but Ultra Magnus wasn't released in the U.S. until 1986. (Yes, the toy was available as a Diaclone in Japan, but in a different color scheme. Dustin's has the coloring of the U.S. version, and even if he somehow ended up with the Diaclone version, it's highly unlikely he would have repainted a Japanese toy to resemble a Transformer he wouldn't know about the existence of yet, as the 'Transformers' animated movie wasn't released until August 1986).

Chapter One: Suzie, Do You Copy? - S3-E1

Continuity mistake: When Billy crashes his car, it stops and breaks down. He moves to the bonnet and a clear hissing from a damaged is audible. Then all the mess happens and the episode ends with the usual cliffhanger. When the second episode starts, Billy's car battery is still up, even with the headlight turned on, and the car starts at once with no problem whatsoever.

Chapter Four: The Sauna Test - S3-E4

Visible crew/equipment: When Mike and his friends are discussing the Mind Flayer needing a new host, El asks how they'd be able to tell if someone is a host. Then it cuts to Hopper and Joyce pulling up in front of Town Hall, and before Hopper gets out of the car the boom mic is reflected on the squad car's window. (00:14:25)

Super Grover

Chapter Five: The Flayed - S3-E5

Continuity mistake: When Robin takes the chemical container off Erica, in the shot of Erica saying "It could be useful", Robin is holding the container upright. In the next shot, it is being held at a rotated angle, then upright in the following shot. Two shots after that, the container is suddenly rotated again, then back to upright when the shot cuts. (00:17:25)

Chapter Five: The Flayed - S3-E5

Continuity mistake: When Hopper is taking Todd's car at the gas station he hands Todd a Slim Jim he was eating, then they pan away from them to show Joyce Byers and Hop talking. When the scene widens Hop has the Slim Jim back in his hand and hands it to Todd again. (00:24:25)

Chapter Five: The Flayed - S3-E5

Continuity mistake: While Hopper lies his way into stealing the car from Todd and claims that Alexei has murdered many children, Hopper pushes the driver seat back into its proper upright position. Then as Hopper introduces Detective Byers to Todd, the driver seat is once again leaning toward the steering wheel before being upright in the next shot. (00:24:30)

Super Grover

Chapter Five: The Flayed - S3-E5

Visible crew/equipment: While Bruce chases after Nancy and Jonathan they hide in the OR, then Nancy picks up the red phone and shouts, and in the following closeup of the ceiling mounted domed light, the upside-down reflection of a crew member wearing shorts and sneakers can be seen quickly. A few minutes later, after Jonathan jabs scissors into Tom's throat, when Jonathan leans back out-of-breath there's another closeup of the surgical light, and we can see the upside-down reflection of the cameraman's arm and part of the camera as it moves closer, then it's visible again a few shots later. (00:43:10 - 00:46:40)

Super Grover

Chapter Five: The Flayed - S3-E5

Factual error: When Hopper steals the yellow convertible at the gas station mini mart, the gas pumps have vapor recovery boots on the nozzles. Those weren't in use for another half decade.

Multiple characters: Mouth breather.

Answer: They're both muscle cars, but that's about the extent of the similarities. But the 70's were filled with a lot of muscle cars, so some car models may look a bit like another's. Billy's car is a late 70's Chevy Camaro (probably a ‘79). Mad Max's car is a 1973 Ford Falcon XB GT. Incidentally, the Ford Falcon was produced by Ford Australia and wasn't an American car, or even sold in America (as in not sold at dealerships).

Bishop73

According to the experts its a Camaro '78 with added vented side fenders.
