Iron Man, on the Inside - S2-E6
Continuity mistake: When Iron Man and Hawkeye are watching the Hacker being taken away by the police, the basketball hoop is behind them. When the shot changes, it is in front of them. (00:19:58)
Audio problem: When H.O.M.E.R. is saying "Visual onscreen," his mouth isn't moving. (00:01:00)
Continuity mistake: When Rhodey is watching Iron Man try to slow down the space ship, Iron Man is surrounded by partly cloudy blue sky. When the action switches to Iron Man's point of view, he is in outer space. (00:01:37)
Continuity mistake: When H.O.M.E.R. is telling Tony that the spaceship is programmed to return to the planet Elysium in two hours, his arms are down at his side. When the shot changes, his right hand is on his hip. (00:05:52)
Continuity mistake: When Titanium Man is using his eye lasers to cut a hole in the ship, the circle becomes drastically smaller just before he hits Iron Man. (00:09:25)
Factual error: When War Machine is about to collide with the star, he ends up mere inches away from its surface before being rescued by Iron Man. Yellow-white stars have a surface temperature of about 10,000° F, and the metal with the highest melting point is tungsten, which is 6,192° F. Iron Man specifically says he switching his armor to "inferno mode" in order to safely catch Rhodey, but Rhodey does no such switching for himself, nor is it even revealed if his armor has that capability, so he should have been incinerated. (00:09:55 - 00:10:30)
Factual error: When War Machine is drifting towards the star, just before Iron Man rescues him, he rotates his body to bring himself to a dead stop. Since he's in the vacuum of space, rotating his body would not have stopped him. He would have instead continued drifting, but with his body now drifting into the star feet first. (00:09:56)
Continuity mistake: When Iron Man catches War Machine just before he falls into the star, the devices on either side of War Machine's helmet are colored red, when they should be blue. (00:10:16)
Continuity mistake: When War Machine is saying "Core levels dippin'?", the section of his helmet between the top of his head and his right temple is incorrectly colored white, when it should be blue. (00:11:20)
Continuity mistake: When Iron Man is saying "You see about salvaging that space fold module out of the ship," his red gauntlet is incorrectly colored a pale green. (00:11:58)
Other mistake: When Dark Aegis blows up a section of a building to get Iron Man's attention, the trail of smoke becomes still after the finishes panning left. (00:12:23)
Revealing mistake: When Dark Aegis is saying "But, I'll help you take that step by doing the next one with you," the edge of animation cel is visible on the left side of the screen. (00:15:37)
Continuity mistake: When Dark Aegis is trying to talk Iron Man into joining him, he holds out his Oracle weapon for Iron Man to take. When the shot changes, the weapon is instantly mounted to his arm, and he is pointing it at Iron Man. (00:15:48)
Continuity mistake: When Dark Aegis flies up to attack Iron Man, there is a large dust cloud in front of Iron Man. A couple of shots later, the dust cloud has disappeared entirely. (00:16:17)
Continuity mistake: When War Machine is asking Titanium Man what he's waiting for, he's resting against a large rock. A couple of shots later, the rock has disappeared. (00:16:24)
Revealing mistake: After Titanium Man says that Dark Aegis wants power to annihilate, the screen shakes to emphasize an offscreen explosion, during which time the edge of the animation cel is visible on the left side of the screen. (00:17:07)
Continuity mistake: When War Machine and Titanium Man are shooting their blasters at Dark Aegis' force field, War Machine is behind and to the left of Titanium Man. A couple of shots later, War Machine is suddenly in front of and above Titanium Man. (00:17:31)
Revealing mistake: When Tony is saying "A little sabbatical about now would sure be nice," the edge of the animation cel is visible on the left side of the screen. (00:19:28)
Other mistake: As with all previous episodes in this season, this one ends with Mandarin tracking down one of his ten rings. However, when he retrieved a ring at the end of the previous episode and adorned it, he was shown wearing a ring on all ten fingers. (00:20:37 - 00:21:17)
Continuity mistake: When Mandarin is first seen at the end of the episode, his green hands are incorrectly colored yellow. (00:20:50)
Answer: Gleaned from the Internet: Some critics criticized the premise of so many one-off battles that were introduced and concluded within one or two episodes. Others felt the first-season plot lines were overly simplistic and never progressed or developed through the season. Also, the rivalry between Iron Man and the Mandarin also failed to capture viewer's attention.
