Sleeping with the Enemy - S2-E24
Factual error: Sebastian is discussing the evidence and says about the SIM card in a phone. He then shows a picture of a SD card on the computer, not a SIM card. (00:12:00 - 00:13:00)
Factual error: LaSalle's 2015 pickup truck is shown with a green Louisiana license plate. Those plates were only distributed in 2011 and 2012 in celebration of Louisiana's Statehood bicentennial. Furthermore, pick-up trucks in Louisiana are always provided with basic seven digit plates with only the state name, the digits, and the state motto Sportsman's Paradise. The vehicle owner could request a vanity plate with a specific order of digits, or a sport's design, but again, the state hood could not be one.
Other mistake: Dr. Wade is the ME for Jefferson Parish. Most of the victims are found in Orleans Parish. Not her jurisdiction.
Other mistake: The opening has a Navy officer in an SUV with his partner. The bad guys run them into a river, the passenger survives by letting air out of the right front tire. During the investigation, Mark Harmon finds the tire with a very cleanly-cut valve stem. There is no way a drowning person could cut the stem off that clean with anything.
Continuity mistake: Lund tells Gregorio that he got a text from a friend in DC, who ran the names of Yates and Blakely through a government database and found something. When it cuts to a young man walking, in the interior shot from inside the police cruiser the rearview mirror is missing from the windshield, but in the exterior shots the rearview mirror is properly attached. (00:26:10)
Factual error: When Loretta fist sees the body of the sailor she states the tattoo is fresh and cites the "irritation" to the skin around the tattoo. Later, she and Dr Mallard establish the tattoo was administered 3 hours after death, making the signs of irritation to the skin impossible.
One Good Man - S3-E6
Character mistake: After Patton's ex-wife pushes him off the balcony and he lands on the researcher with the gun and the rest of the team come in, someone asks him if he is OK. He says that he is fine, nothing is broken. Other than his arms, ribs or neck how is he going to know that? He is already paralyzed. He can't feel anything.
Insane in the Membrane - S2-E6
Visible crew/equipment: After Hamilton tells Pride that he will arrange for Kendrick's grandmother to stay at the assisted living facility in his district, when it cuts to Kendrick and Percy walking toward Pride the red T-mark taped to the rug can be seen at Pride's feet.
Revealing mistake: In the forensics lab Carol Wilson is saying to others that the rat caught on the ship is healthy. In the ensuing conversation the respirators they are wearing are so ill fitting as to be pointless - Carol's mask does not even touch her nose. (00:26:00 - 00:27:00)
Factual error: At beginning of the episode during the evening a marine gets hit by a taxi. Titles. Pride arrives to look at the scene with the M.E. present and it is during the middle of the day, going by the shadows of the onlookers. Sure they would not leave a dead marine lying in the street for that long? (00:01:00 - 00:04:00)
Love Hurts - S1-E8
Factual error: In one early scene (maybe third or fourth of the episode) Special Agent LaSalle greets and shakes hands with a sailor he knows, a U.S. Navy Chief Petty Officer. The CPO is wearing a gold surface warfare insignia, which is an Officer's device. A CPO should be wearing a silver insignia. Later in the episode the the same Chief Petty Office is shown close up, still wearing a gold pin, not a silver one.
Plot hole: To identify the owner of a severed leg, Pride asks Loretta if she can guesstimate the body's general build by the foot's boot size. A much simpler way would be to swab for blood where the leg was severed and run it through the military DNA database.
Answer: It should also be noted, just because someone owns a small business (in this case a bar) doesn't mean they're rich, or they had to be rich or make enough money from another job in order to afford it. Banks provide small business loans and having steady employment, good credit history, solid business plan, etc would allow someone to get a loan. Most business owners even say they "own" whatever bar, restaurant, store, or business they run even if it's leased or mortgaged.
Bishop73
A proprietor may lease a building but they do own the business that is housed within it.
