Continuity mistake: When Davy Gordon is searching the barn he pushes the pitchfork between bales of hay causing Nicky to scream. The prongs on the end of the pitchfork are pointing down, but when the angle changes the prongs are pointing upwards.

Visible crew/equipment: During Nicky's trial camera lights are reflected on the piano on stage and on the wall behind it.

Continuity mistake: Jonathan pours petrol around the schoolhouse before starting a fire, he is couching down and drops a match and the petrol ignites. The angle changes and Jonathan drops the match again and he is crouched down in a different position.
Other mistake: At the end of this episode when Jonathan and Nicky set off on horseback to the canal to board the tug boat "Heartsease" they leave late at night and arrive the next day. But in episodes 7 and 8 Margaret rides on horseback to Heartsease and home again, and the journey only takes a few minutes.

Continuity mistake: In the first two shots of the witch hunt after they leave Peter's house there are ten men in the mob but in the next three shots there are only nine men in the mob.

Visible crew/equipment: When Jonathan and Nicky are in the cabin of the tugboat sailing on the canal in the scene leading up to the jammed bridge, you can see reflections of crew members in the rear window of the cabin.

Continuity mistake: Jonathan starts a fire on the front deck of the boat, but later on after the fire has been extinguished there is no fire damage on the deck.

Visible crew/equipment: When Davy Gordon and his mob are on the bridge and Davy is telling the mob about Nicky's trial, you can see a crew member holding onto the horse that Margaret will soon ride off on.
The Quarry - S1-E9
Continuity mistake: At the end of the penultimate scene when Nicky tells Jonathan that she wants to get back into The Cavern to speak to Mr Furbelow, her hair is behind her shoulders and then falls in front of her left shoulder. The angle changes and her hair is in front of her right shoulder and behind her left.
The Quarry - S1-E9
Continuity mistake: Jonathan is reading Furbelow's diary. Nicky is standing next to him then sits down, in close up shots her hair is behind her left shoulder but in long shots her hair is over the front of her left shoulder.
The Cavern - S1-E10
Revealing mistake: When Jonathan and Nicky are running out of The Cavern during the rockfall a cabinet is knocked over by the vibration, but you can see that it is pushed over by someone with a stick.
