Death at Victoria Dock - S1-E4
Continuity mistake: As Miss Fisher gulps down her stiff drink thanking Butler the butler, she holds her hand in her lap all bent and twisted in a quirky claw shape. There was no indication of it in the previous shot, where she was simply rubbing her thumb. (00:06:35)
Death by Miss Adventure - S1-E10
Character mistake: Dr. Mac's first words in this episode are "Her name was Daisy Miller." Only, it was not. In the office with the boss, Jack asks about "Daisy Murphy's death", same for the tea lady. And in the end credits indeed her last name is Murphy. (00:01:30 - 00:05:55)
Death at Victoria Dock - S1-E4
Continuity mistake: As they are waiting for the events to unfold at the bank in Church street, Miss Fisher tells the constable to try and look natural. The poor nervous chap holds his hand on the lapel of the coat at a different height between shots. (00:48:30)
Continuity mistake: When the music starts, Miss Fisher puts her glass down, behind Aunt Prudence to go dance with Sasha. Throughout the whole scene she had been the only one with a red drink, but this time she has a yellow drink like everyone else. (00:23:30)
Continuity mistake: When Miss Fisher and Jack find Letitia, her hat is tilted on her head the opposite direction in the two following shots. The bag she dropped in one shot has disappeared entirely in the one when she was rolling down the stairway. (00:30:30)
Continuity mistake: When Derek's uncle arrives during his interrogation, the badge and pen in front of Jack change position entirely. When the original camera angle is used again, the objects are exactly where they first appeared. (00:28:05 - 00:29:20)
Factual error: The calendar behind Hugh when Dot restores the beer coaster points at November, consistent with the pacing of the show. It's not a November 1928 calendar, though, the first day should have been a Thursday. (00:24:00)
Factual error: The very opening shot of the episode features by the clock a big red book titled "Otley Pursued." By Martin Waddell, the book was published in 1967, making its appearance in a series set in 1928.
Other mistake: The clock on the lounge's desk signals the same time for the whole scene's duration (when the girls spot the strange woman waiting outside), which lasts much longer than a minute. (00:08:20 - 00:09:50)
Death by Miss Adventure - S1-E10
Continuity mistake: When Miss Fisher serves the big piece of pie to her aunt, she drops the cake spatula on the table with a clanging sound, but it's back on the platter in the reverse shot. (00:49:45)
Death by Miss Adventure - S1-E10
Continuity mistake: When Jack asks Miss Fisher to wait outside since Mr. Gaskin is freaking out, Hugh in the background goes from writing on his pad to having his hand down on his hip. (00:06:30)
Continuity mistake: As Miss Fisher explains how to eat asparagi, the dark haired girl has her fingers on the veggie in a different position in every shot. (00:02:00)
Continuity mistake: When Jack and Hugh arrive during Miss Fisher's judo lesson with the girls, the two outraged ladies walk out of the room twice. (00:15:55)
Ruddy Gore - S1-E6
Continuity mistake: Miss Fisher is in his friend's office. He gets the five minute call, marked by a conspicuous jump in continuity as he was standing by a chair, and now is leaning against it with his hand at the top of the back. (00:04:00)
Murder on the Ballarat Train - S1-E2
Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the episode, when the little girl stabs the bad dude with the carving fork, she obviously stabs him in the thumb, while the close-up shows a perfect hit right into the center of the hand. (00:00:45)
Continuity mistake: In the scene with the chicken on the kitchen table, the chicken stands in different spots in the different shots. Also, it took a dump on the newspaper in between the first shot and the rest. (00:13:55)
Continuity mistake: When Miss Fisher examines the bloodied letter, she holds it in her close-up with her index finger touching the side, while it's just hovering in the reverse shots. The height is inconsistent as well. (00:19:00)
Revealing mistake: The leap between two buildings during the rooftop chase is just awkward looking. No way the simple little hop filmed from behind can bring the man over the long distance shown in the following shot. (00:14:40)
Murder on the Ballarat Train - S1-E2
Continuity mistake: Right after Butler the butler shows the door to the fake aunt, when Jane tells miss Fisher "I can't", her ponytail is down her back, but over the shoulder in the shot before. (00:31:35)
Continuity mistake: In her bedroom with Dot discussing the whereabouts of the soldier, Miss Fisher has her bare feet crossed and touching in the side shots, but separate in the closeups of Essie Davis. (00:15:15 - 00:16:00)
Answer: Louisa's watch was broken during the struggle to get away from her attacker.
