Persion Emissary: This is madness!
Leonidas: Madness? This is SPARTA!
Xerxes: There will be no glory in your sacrifice. I will erase even the memory of Sparta from the histories. Every piece of greek parchment shall be burned. And every greek historian, and every scribe shall have their eyes pulled out, and their tongues cut from their mouth. Why, uttering the very name of Sparta, or Leonidas will be punishable by death. The world will never know you existed at all.
King Leonidas: The world will know that free men stood against a tyrant, that few stood against many, and that before this battle is over, even a god-king can bleed.
Leonidas: Spartans! Ready your breakfast and eat hearty... For tonight, we dine in hell!
Leonidas: Give them nothing, but take from them everything.
Queen Gorgo: Spartan!
King Leonidas: Yes, Milady?
Queen Gorgo: Come back with your shield, or on it.
King Leonidas: Yes, Milady.
Leonidas: Unless I miss my guess, we're in for one wild night.
Xerxes: It would be a regrettable waste. It would be nothing short of madness for you, brave king, and your valiant troops to perish. All because of a simple misunderstanding. There is much our cultures could share.
Leonidas: Haven't you noticed, we've been sharing our culture with you all morning.
Stelios: It is an honor to die at your side.
King Leonidas: It is an honor to have lived at yours.
Captain: They look thirsty!
King Leonidas: Well, let's give them something to drink! To the cliffs!
Queen Gorgo: Your lips can finish what your fingers have started... Or has the Oracle robbed you of your desire as well?
King Leonidas: It would take more than the words of a drunken adolescent girl to rob me of my desire for you.
Mike Banning: If you don't train like it's real, you're dead when it is.
Nicole Hurley: Life is making mistakes.
Milo Boyd: And death is wishing you had made more.
Frosty Hesson: We all come from the sea, but we are not all of the sea. Those of us who are, we children of the tides, must return to it again and again, until the day we don't come back leaving behind only that which was touched along the way.
Frosty Hesson: As for the rest, all I will say is... the ones who push the limits, discover the limits sometimes push back.
Lizzie: It must be some life, seeing all those different places.
The Stranger: You should know... you've been writing from them for years.
Lizzie: We had an arrangement. You broke it.
The Stranger: One more day that's all.
Lizzie: No, no, no. I want you to go now. It's over, do you hear me, it's over.
The Stranger: My ship sails on Monday. There is only one more day.
Lizzie: Who the hell do you think you are? Who gave you the right to come in here and behave like this?
The Stranger: You did.
The Stranger: Frankie's a very... very lucky boy.
Lizzie: How'd you figure that one out? I'm his mother and I lie to him every single day.
The Stranger: No. No, you protect him every single day.
Ray Merrimen: I ain't cuffin' up.
Big Nick: That's OK. I don't bring my cuffs anyway. (01:34:05)
