Shrek 2 (2004)

Corrected entry: Shortly after Fiona's dog is introduced, he is seen on the sofa while Shrek and Fiona are talking. The dog yips throughout the scene, but early on he yips twice and only opens his mouth once. Dogs must move their jaws when they bark, otherwise it sounds like a whine instead. (00:21:55)

Phoenix

Correction: The dog's barks are perfectly in sync. Most of the time he's yapping, he's hidden behind Shrek. When we do see him while hearing his barks, they are normal. He's quite small, compared to Shrek and Fiona, and given that small size and the fact that he's quite a few feet behind them, it may be hard to see his jaws moving, but there is no mistake here.

Shrek 2 (2004)

Corrected entry: Fiona knocks out Charming at the ball. Puss, sitting on donkey's back, holds the magic wand. They are 5-7 meters from the spot where Charming falls. There is a short clip where the Fairy Godmother talks with the King - and suddenly Charming grabs the wand from Puss. He couldn't have gotten up and over there so fast - and without anyone noticing.

Jacob La Cour

Correction: Everyone's attention was on the King and the Godmother. Everyone, including Donkey, moved closer to Shrek and Fiona during the conversation with the King and Godmother and it is entirely plausible for him to stand up and grab the wand.

Shrek 2 (2004)

Corrected entry: The hook handed man's voice changes between the two times he is playing the piano in the Poison Apple, due to the two different singers used to voice him. (00:26:35 - 00:58:05)

Correction: The 'hook handed man" is Captain Hook (from Peter Pan) and he is singing two very disparate pieces of music, the first very bluesy and calling for a gravelly voice and the second, a solemn piece. I know many people who sing differently depending upon the piece.

Shrek 2 (2004)

Corrected entry: The spoon Shrek uses to eat the 'soup' appears from nowhere between shots. It wasn't there previously when Shrek looks at the dinner set, and why would anyone bring it out if they don't need spoons until the actual soup is brought out? (00:15:25)

Hamster

Correction: There IS a spoon-like utentil attached to the bottom end of a fork, on the left side of his plate, in the initial setting. Obviously, it's not intended for the soup, but Shrek doesn't know this. The soup spoons are provided with the soup course.

Shrek 2 (2004)

Corrected entry: When Puss jumps down from Donkey and does his "cute" act, all but one knight raise their visors. Puss then drops his cuteness and attacks the knights. All of them now have their visors down, too quickly and without any noise. (01:12:00)

Correction: When Puss goes into attack mode, the only sounds we can hear are him yelling and loud music. As he flies over the heads of the guards, their masks fall back into place -- you can see this on several of them. And we can't hear this because the cat and the music are covering that sound.

Shrek 2 (2004)

Corrected entry: When the pig is holding onto the fairy godmother's leg, his hat falls off and lands underneath. But as the fight for the wand continues, that hat disappears.

Correction: There is no way to tell where the hat fell. We are never shown a full view of the entire area after the pig loses his hat.

Shrek 2 (2004)

Corrected entry: Just one shot before Pinnochio is finally tangled in stripes, we can see his limbs are only a little bit wrapped in stripes, and then we see him tangled completely in stripes many times.

Correction: That's the whole point - he was flipping and twirling and he is suddenly entangled beyond repair in his strings. No mistake here.

Shrek 2 (2004)

Corrected entry: When the fairy tale creatures are watching T.V., the Gingerbread Man drops a buffalo wing to the floor in astonishment, but a couple shots later it's gone.

Correction: They are watching the television with no lights on (except the glow of the TV) so when Gingerbread drops the chicken, it could be anywhere, including under the table he is sitting on. There's just not enough illumination to see any details of what's lying on the floor.

Shrek 2 (2004)

Corrected entry: In the beginning scene at the tower, just after Prince Charming slides down the rope across the lake of lava, you can see a small flock of birds flying around the highest point of the tower. In the shot after Charming uses his breath spray, the birds are nowhere to be seen. (00:02:05)

Correction: The first shot of the tower was a wide shot, showing about six circling vultures. The second shot was a much more narrower view and much shorter in duration, so it's not a mistake that the vultures just happened to be flying a bit wider path than shown in the second shot.

Shrek 2 (2004)

Corrected entry: In the 'chase scene' in the Fairy Godmother's factory, Shrek, Donkey and Puss spin quickly on a rotating device. In the shots where they are spinning, there is no sign of anyone in the background. Yet there is a gang of archers who had been shooting at them in the same room. (00:44:40)

Correction: There is no possible way to discern anything in the background other than blurry swirling images because the device is turning at such a fast pace. You can see colors of different objects, including the white of the workers' suits, as they whiz past.

Shrek 2 (2004)

Corrected entry: When Puss is stealing the Happily Ever After potion, he breaks the protective sheet of glass while trying to get the bottle out, but the shards of glass that should be raining down disappear in mid-air. (00:45:50)

Correction: No, the glass is falling down, all right - it's just the camera that changes angle when the glass is "mid-air". And the glass can be seen scattered on the floor even before the other potions start falling.

Shrek 2 (2004)

Corrected entry: In the scene where Shrek, Fiona and her family are dining, when Shrek and Fiona's father start to bicker and angrily eat their food, they both go for the pig in the middle of the table. This should have been impossible as the table in other shots is shown to be too long for either of them to reach considering they are both sitting at opposite ends. This is shown especially when the pig goes flying into the air. (00:17:30)

Correction: Actually, the size of the pig does make it possible for both of them to grab legs at either end of the pig. It's a stretch (no pun intended), but not impossible.

Shrek 2 (2004)

Corrected entry: When Shrek is reading Fiona's diary, he drops it on the table. Later, Fiona wakes up and finds it, and its position is different.

Correction: When Shrek places her diary on the table, the angle is such that we cannot see how he laid it down. So there's no way to know if it's different when Fiona picks it up later.
