Revealing mistake: The Smallville Torch that Clark looks at online is the exact same one last seen by Lex two episodes ago in "Craving." This wouldn't be a problem, but Clark remarks that this Torch is "another scathing editorial," indicating that it is new, and Principal Kwan complains that parents have been calling all morning, which means that this issue of the Torch was published either this day or the day before. Prop department must have been saving money. (00:08:40)

Audio problem: After he breaks the methane valve, Earl runs to the security camera and whispers, "You see what you made me do?" His whisper is heard at the proper volume by the Luthors watching the camera, but the speakerphone is on the desk ten feet behind Earl, making this impossible. Most surveillance cameras don't have microphones. (00:28:55)

Audio problem: Clark listens to his father and Earl talking in the hospital through the visitor window. The sound is the same volume and quality as when Earl was using the microphone, which he is not using now. Even if Clark used super-hearing to eavesdrop, it wouldn't sound the same as the microphone. Revealing mistake: In the early scene with the baby, there are a few overhead shots of the parents and child. It is clear that in these shots a fake baby was used - he is completely motionless, even though he was moving arms and legs before and after and is crying. (00:02:00 - 00:03:15)

Trivia: The Smallville Torch that Lex views on the internet has two articles that refer to past episodes. Pete wrote an article about his trip in a limo called Take Yourself Out Of The Driver's Seat ("Hourglass") and Chloe reprinted The Most Controversial Speech Ever Given In Smallville by Lana's mother ("X-Ray").
