Continuity mistake: In her office, when Umbridge adds sugar to her tea, she places the spoon on the saucer. When Harry walks in and she says, "You're going to be doing some lines today," there is a close-up of the tea cup and the spoon is gone. After a brief close-up of Harry, the spoon reappears. Continuity mistake: After Harry enters the Gryffindor Common Room, when Seamus stands up his white shirt is untucked just a bit at his back. As he stands with his hands at his sides, in the next shot from behind Seamus, now the entire shirttail is untucked. (00:32:10)

Continuity mistake: At the Order's headquarters, after the 'bandaged' Mr. Weasley's return and the gifts are handed out and they are toasting Harry, the positions of things on the table differ between shots. (01:08:30 - 01:09:35)

Continuity mistake: Dumbledore wears a thin silver strand, with dangling silver balls, tied round his beard, and the position of this strand and height of the silver balls differ in consecutive shots, depending on the camera angle, throughout the film. For example, when Dumbledore stands before the Wizengamut during Harry's hearing. (00:20:30)
