Corrected entry: When we see the outside of New Delhi, there is a news reporter outside, speaking in English (he is definitely Indian). If he's Indian, why is he speaking in English?

The Day After Tomorrow (2004)
Corrected entry: More fresh water in the ocean wouldn't trigger a global cooling trend. Salt water actually allows the oceans to be cooler without freezing.
Correction: The point is that the alteration in the salinity of the water has stopped the North Atlantic current from flowing and bringing warmer water up from the equatorial regions, triggering the climate shift and the cooling effect. The actual heat capacity of the water doesn't have anything to do with it.

The Day After Tomorrow (2004)
Corrected entry: When New York City is in the eye of the storm, we see the Empire State Building freezing from the top down. However, when the characters are running back to the fire place in the library, the frost is following them lengthways through the corridors.
Correction: It's all down to airflow - the cold is coming from the upper atmosphere, so the Empire State Building would freeze from the top down. The interior of the library, however, would freeze in the manner depicted as the cold air flowed (horizontally) down the corridors, away from the windows and doors.

The Day After Tomorrow (2004)
Corrected entry: At the end of the movie, the President of the United States says, "It is telling that my first address comes to you from foreign soil." The only problem is that the US Embassy in Mexico (and any other foreign country) is considered US soil. That is why they are havens for travellers abroad.
Correction: He says "first broadcast from a consulate on foreign soil" so no mistake.

Correction: A major conference of the type depicted in the film would attract interest from all over the world. The reporter is covering the conference on behalf of an unspecified English language news network - you can see that the logo on his microphone has the word NEWS written on it in English.
