Monk (2002)

Mr. Monk and the Panic Room - S3-E2

Corrected entry: After Monk has accidentally pushed the close button on the panic room door, Captain Stottlemeyer tries to guide Monk to pushing the open button on the wall. After a couple of minutes the captain puts his hand through the hole to open the door. The scene doesn't make sense, however. Stottlemeyer makes no attempt through the whole scene to try and open the door up for Monk, who is having trouble with the locked room. He can see the buttons and would easily be able to see he could reach it or at least try to reach it.

Lummie

Correction: The Captain simply doesn't want to do everything for Monk and wants Monk to do it himself. He finally just gives up on Monk. But that's not out of character for the Captain.

Not in My Back Hoe - S4-E8

Corrected entry: Hank finds Dale and Bill in the hole and as he's rescuing them Hank says, "Well you haven't moved in about 50 hours?" Hank found out they were missing when the guy who rented the backhoe comes looking for it and Hank is surprised to find they have gone missing. Seems a bit odd no one noticed them missing or decided to report it over 2 days. Whilst Bill lives alone and maybe no one would have noticed, Dale's wife (Nancy) and son would have noticed after that length of time. Despite Nancy still having an affair with Redcorn, there is too much evidence throughout the show's history that show both she and Joseph were constantly concerned when anything happened to Dale.

Lummie

Correction: As seen in other episodes, Dale does go on adventures and trips without always bothering to inform Nancy first. She may be getting concerned after fifty hours, but not enough to panic yet, knowing Dale as she does. Also, just because we don't see something happening, does not mean that it never did. She or Joseph could have expressed mild concern at any time without it being shown.

Corrected entry: The TX cuts through the particle accelerator with its inbuilt saw, but the machine was on. This was trapping it and the liquid metal, making it unable to move. Somehow it is able to activate the saw without that too being caught by the magnetic field. Not to mention it was able to hold the entire saw completely steady while activating it.

Lummie

Correction: It was still activated so it should be able to use its tools still. Could be the saw was mostly made up of titanium or aluminum which is not (or hardly) affected by the magnetic field of the accelerator and thus still usable.

One Hour Photo (2002)

Corrected entry: When Jake shows Sy the action figure he picked up in the store, there is a shot of the figurine in the box. The title and text on the box is almost all in Japanese writing, including a little yellow text box, on the top right of the plastic covering, and in the shot of the back of the box, most of the writing is in Japanese as well. It's unlikely that a product that was released in a major American mall, would leave most of the writing on the product it was selling, in a foreign language. While many stores import products and leave the writing in the foreign language, malls like the one in the film would never import items like this, unless it was on special request. It wouldn't see much profit from importing an product like that.

Lummie

Correction: First off, the scene takes place at SavMart, not the mall. So, as you stated, stores (like SavMart) do import foreign toys, and since it's not a major American mall, there's nothing wrong with the toy having Japanese writing. Often stores that carry these types of foreign toys do so because they're actually cheaper, thus saving not only the company, but the customers, money.

Escape from Party Island - S3-E17

Corrected entry: Whilst Bobby is sitting on the bench at the baseball game you can see his shirt is yellow. When Bill is having his little temper tantrum, a shot of the field shows the pitcher is wearing a green shirt. Some of the other players were wearing blue. I doubt there were more than 2 teams or more than two different uniforms.

Lummie

Correction: The pitcher is wearing a blue shirt just like his teammates, not green. The shot of the field there are only 2 team colors seen, yellow and blue.

Ep. #212 - S2-E12

Corrected entry: After Wayne Brady kills the policeman, you can see inside Brady's car the lights on the police car behind are white and red. However in the wide shot of the car when Brady is pulling away the lights on the police car are all red.

Lummie

Correction: This is not correct. The color of the lights never change and the cop car never changes. In the first shot, the beam of light hits directly into the camera, minimizing the tint, but when the camera angle changes, the amount of direct light changes, so the tint is more prominent.

Ep. #212 - S2-E12

Corrected entry: In the scene when Wayne Brady kills the policeman and gets back in the car you can see the police car through the back window to the right. When it shows a wide shot of the car pulling away the police car is now to the left of Brady's car.

Lummie

Correction: The cop car never moves in the scene, it is the camera angles that change. In the first shot, the camera is focused straight on Wayne Brady, whereas the second shot, the camera angle is now to the far left making it look like the cop car changed position, but it is in the same spot.

Speed (1994)

Corrected entry: How did Payne not find out about the passengers getting off safely sooner than noticing the loop in the video feed? While choppers weren't allowed in the air space of LAX, there was reporters and media following the event on almost every channel. Payne was watching numerous TVs but not one channel mentions the massive explosion at the airport when the bus hits the plane, which would have been visible from the perimeter.

Lummie

Correction: Mac instructed the major networks to cease broadcasting at the same time as they created the loop feed, so in effect the networks would have only been broadcasting previously-run footage and re-iterating what they knew, with the ground crew unable to report further under orders from the LAPD.

Head Game - S4-E5

Corrected entry: During the basketball game, Reggie comes up to Niles to ask him about his poor shooting game despite hearing the players moving and the ball hitting the rim off screen and there was no mention of a timeout. In a real game of basketball unless there was a timeout, stoppage of play or he was being subbed, no player could just walk off and start discussing something with someone during a game. There is only 5 players on each team. He's off for around 30 seconds.

Lummie

Correction: There's a loud whistle blown prior to Reggie approaching Niles. Given the events that occur (including the conversation with the man with the nachos), there's no reason to think a timeout wasn't called. The ambient noises could have be anything, not necessarily the basketball players.

Canada on Strike - S12-E4

Corrected entry: While Tay Zonday (Chocolate rain guy) is fighting with Chris Crocker (Leave Britney alone!) he is holding him by the hair and holds his gun to his head. The next wide shot of all the fighting in the room, the gun has disappeared from his hands, but he is still holding Crocker by his hair.

Lummie

Correction: This is incorrect, as I watched the entire scene through multiple times and the gun was still in Tay Zonday's hand in the next shot.

The Bully / Just One Bite - S2-E17

Corrected entry: In "Just One Bite" Squidward tell Spongebob that he has never tasted a Krabby patty. However in a previous episode "Your Shoe's Untied", Spongebob fires numerous Krabby Patties at him as he keeps tripping over his shoelaces and Squidward eats them all.

Lummie

Correction: Is has been proven several times that the order that the episodes are released in isn't the chronological order of Spongebob's life. For example, Squidward locked himself in the freezer in SB-129 (Season 1) for thousands of years without interruption, but in the health inspector episode (Season 3), Spongebob goes into the freezer and Squidward isn't there. We can assume that this episode happened in Squidward's life before "Your Shoe's Untied".

Monk (2002)

Mr. Monk and the Birds and the Bees - S6-E5

Corrected entry: During the scene where the police are investigating the crime scene, Monk walks around without any protective footwear. Everyone in the room is wearing them, presumably to avoid contaminating any evidence. Monk regardless of his problems, would not likely be allowed to enter the scene without them. It could even be argued Monk would prefer to wear something like this. Additionally, it's not as if no one noticed. The husband even asks about whether he wiped his feet before coming in and Monk shows his shoes to him. The captain is even watching and comments about his shoes being extremely clean.

Lummie

Correction: Monk has gotten away with a lot of things that are not by the book. He once was allowed inside a jail without being searched by the guards, Monk is a talented detective and he is allowed a lot of slack.

Correction: The point of that scene was everyone's feet needed to be clean because of the rug so they put on footwear at the request of the homeowner for when they walked on the rug. That is why Disher took off his protective footwear when he went upstairs. All he cared about was the rug.

Aisle 8A - S4-E5

Corrected entry: After Peggy finds out about Connie experiencing her first period, Peggy takes Bobby to Whataburger. If you look at Bobby's drink whilst they are eating it changes from the left to the right of the tray in almost every shot of the scene.

Lummie

Correction: Not true. The scene switches between looking at Bobby straight on and over his shoulder. In the different perspectives, it may look like the drink has switched, but actually it stays on Bobby's right side the whole time.

Bobby Goes Nuts - S6-E1

Corrected entry: In the beginning of the episode, Khan makes Connie's friends sign a contract when they come over for Connie's sleepover. Despite being an intelligent man he should know that even if a child signs a contract, it is null and void unless the child is with a parent or legal guardian. Khan might be rash and strict but with how seriously he takes these contracts it seems doubtful he would forgot something as important as a minor needing an guardian to sign an contract. Evidence of how serious he was about the contract that a little later in the episode, he even takes away the girls pillows when they are fighting in order to avoid anyone getting hurt. Then after this one of the girls makes a comment how Connie's dad made her pay for breakfast.

Lummie

Correction: You have completely missed the point of the situation. Khan is a control freak and he is always pressuring Connie to become a success i.e. "Bluegrass is Always Greener on the Other Side". He comes up with the idea of a special contract, which is only valid in his house and does not apply in any legal system whatsoever, as a means of preventing the other girls from making his daughter a stupid party girl.

Correction: Khan thinks he's smarter than everyone else in town. And considering that it's Arlen, he's usually right. He thinks they're dumb hicks who would never think to talk to a real lawyer about it and find out he can't do that.

Separate Vocations - S3-E18

Corrected entry: When the police trap Snake after the car chase they say he's trapped in meaning there was only one way in. So how does Snake get his car stuck in the alleyway when he must have got through the alleyway to begin with?

Lummie

Correction: There was only one way in and out for a car as Snake finds out. The alley they both came in is obviously different from the one Snake tries to escape through. This is further confirmed by the fact that the police car is not parked at the end of the alley Snake tries to exit through.

Also, Springfield PD isn't exactly known to be top-notch. This could've been a mistake by the cops as well. Even so, character mistake.

The Simpsons (1989)

Correction: The shot with Snake coming through is a wide shot where we can see the sign. When the police come through the shot is much tighter and the sign is above what we can see.
