When Manson got into the kitchen, he could at least somewhat see that the inside of the microwave was lit up and could hear a crackling sound, but he continued walking toward the microwave until it exploded. Stupidity: As soon as Bundy got into the building (instead of when he was still outside), Kaminsky asked him for a "camera check." Bundy had a yellow button with a big star in the center pinned to his jacket's right lapel. Bundy put some fingers next to the button and raised his lapel with the others, making it obvious he was wearing a camera. When Manson got into the lobby (area likely to be under video surveillance), Reese (who saw Bundy and Manson outside) came into the building to give them weapons. (00:03:50)

Stupidity: While awaiting their flight home, Nancy told Teri, "Think I miscalculated the tea. I'm not gonna last three-and-a-half hours [on the non-stop flight with no restroom facility]." Stupidity: Dr. Emma Collins and Shaw were in the water with Sally the Great White Shark. Emma put her right hand over Sally's nose and pushed her back. Sally swam forward and Emma pointed her index finger at Sally's nose then pushed her back again. Emma told Shaw, "If you stay calm and redirect" and "Don't try this at home" before Sally pushed Emma with her nose on Emma's stomach and rammed her into an underwater object. Emma was the instigator, goading a Great White Shark. Emma could have been killed. (00:05:10)

Stupidity: Instead of Ray freeing himself before the Hangman comes to get him out of the bed of the truck or using his knife to stab the Hangman before he gets hung, Ray lets the Hangman hang him from a tree and knock over the ladder to strangle him. Ray dangles for almost a minute until he fakes his death and drops a fake Rolex, planning on slashing the Hangman's throat when he comes to pick up the watch. Ray, still dangling with the rope around his neck and a hood over his head, is also able to talk. (00:00:47 - 00:02:36)

Stupidity: In addition to leaving Lulu alone in the SUV (with the sun shining into her cage) while he went target shooting or drinking, Briggs also left Lulu after giving her two of his OTC allergy pills and told Lulu to get into the cargo area of his SUV after the rear window was smashed and without checking for and cleaning up glass fragments that could cut Lulu. Stupidity: Instead of breaking into Gordo's house, covering all the furniture in one room with sheets/thin blankets, and waiting for Gordo to return home in order to kill him via a "dramatic re-enactment" (in an adjacent room which was not shown to the audience), Bill could have taken Gordo anywhere to avoid getting caught or calling the police on himself. Had Bill taken Gordo to his already-"wrapped" motel room, he had enough injuries after the fight to claim self-defense against an intruder. (01:43:20)

Stupidity: After Danny kills Kat on the sidewalk, he just stands there with Rory while the other gang members flee to their vehicles. William comes running out of the Mexican restaurant and Rory tells Danny, "We gotta go, brother. Now." Rory sees William and gets into the vehicle without getting Danny to go with him. The gang drives away with Rory watching out the window as William tackles and fights with Danny. Rory and the rest of the violent gang left behind someone who just passed the initiation. Stupidity: After Candace manages to break free from being tied to a chair, she runs down the hallway while still untangling the rope around her hands. When she finally removes the rope (after turning into one of many rooms), she throws it onto the floor, thereby giving away the direction in which she fled. Stupidity: Pettis and his right-hand man Spade are in a room watching Candace, who is tied to a chair. Immediately after sending Spade to get food, Pettis tells Candace he is going to "relieve himself", thereby leaving Candace alone and giving her the opportunity to escape (which she does). Stupidity: When Joaquin was running from Cornell, he turned into an alley between buildings. He was to the left (of the screen), which was unobstructed, but ran to the right, so he could jump over boxes. Cornell could have also stayed to the left, but ran far enough to the right where he could kick the boxes out of his way. Easily avoiding the boxes would have been faster. (00:11:37)

Stupidity: Once on the freeway, cars are beeping at Karla's erratic driving (trying to catch up to Frankie's kidnapper). She doesn't put her headlights or emergency flashers on, which could have helped alert other drivers of a problem and avoid causing accidents. She should've also used her horn to draw more attention, hoping someone would call 911 (much sooner than occurred). Stopping to flag a motorist to dial 911 would have been safer than speeding and risking her own life as well as others'. (00:13:50 - 00:19:00)

Stupidity: Karla tells her son Frankie that she has to take a phone call "over there" (away from the carnival crowd) where she'll be able to hear. Instead of keeping a close eye on him, she tells him not to move and talks on the phone with her back turned to Frankie. She does occasionally say "Marco" and listen for him to reply "Polo", but that's not how to watch a 6 year old? child. Karla should have also previously given him a "secret word" that a person must know before he will go with that person. (00:09:52)

Stupidity: The "body armor" General Ford and others wear is very bulky and appears to be quite heavy with all the attachments (e.g, flashlights on shoulders). With the protective suit protruding perhaps 8", it would most likely restrict/slow movement, contrary to what soldiers need. Moreover, the body may be protected, but there's no protection for the face/head, leaving them exposed/vulnerable. Today's products tend to be lighter, thinner, and stronger, so would be expected in the future.

Stupidity: The broken-down RV was on a slight upward grade. Olivia asked her mom if she could use the jump rope, and her mom said "yes" but to stay where she could see her. Olivia went behind the RV's rear bumper to jump. Her mother was sitting along the side of the RV, facing away and could not see Olivia. Even if a vehicle/RV isn't broken down or being worked on, children should not play behind vehicles. Olivia's mom ignored her and the out-of-control RV slipped into reverse and ran over Olivia. Stupidity: Drake's bike fell over on the sidewalk perpendicular to the parked RV, not far from the middle door. It would've been hard for someone to miss seeing the bike when near or in the RV. When Steve went to get his dog Bentley, Drake's mom drove up and asked if he'd seen her son who was riding a bike but didn't come home last night. Steve didn't bother telling Drake's mom he was going on vacation, but said he'll "keep an eye out." Steve still didn't see the bike on his way back to the RV. (00:04:30 - 00:07:00)
