Continuity mistake: Towards the end of the first half of this show, the colonel and West are having a drink inside. Both men's clothes are spotless as they walk to the door to go outside. Once they go through the door, the colonel's jacket is noticeably dirty, especially on its right side. When West turns around from seeing Sgt. Tobin's body, the seat of West's pants is also quite dirty with a small tear in the middle of the seat of his pants. When West walks towards his horse to leave, the seat of his pants is spotless and the rip is gone.

Continuity mistake: In the first boxcar scene, the train is shown standing among brown dirt and dead brush with the trees far off in the distant. When West opens the door to leave, there is a tree right in front of the door.

Continuity mistake: The last shot before the opening credits, West is knocked out face down with his head resting on this right hand which is on top of his left hand. The very next shot shows West's head resting on his right arm and his left arm is folded underneath his chest.

Continuity mistake: In the scene before the third freeze frame, a large coffin-like rectangular object slides into the water. West is inside this structure. All sides are completely flat. We see the object under water sinking. This one is much shorter, has an oval window, and the side is not completely flat when compared to the one that enters the water. After the freeze frame, West is sitting up with his legs completely extended. The dimensions of this under water container would have to have height and width much longer than the other two containers that have been shown.

Continuity mistake: The first shot of West's eyes, after the opening credits, shows them to be a bit different than usual - as if they had an allergic reaction to something. The second, third, and fourth shots show the eyes back to normal, but the shot of him walking the princess to the door shows a very puffy faced West. After walking her to the door when he turns around, West is back to looking like his typical self for the rest of this episode.

Continuity mistake: Before and after the first freeze frame, West's hair is combed from the right side to left. During the next scene when West's hat comes off during the fight, his hair is combed from the left side. In the next scene in the boxcar, his hair is back to being combed from the right. In the last scene of this episode when West is in the boxcar, he has a completely different hair cut. It is much shorter than in the previous scene, very flat looking, and is parted on the left. This last shot makes Mr. West appear to have a receding hairline.

The Night of the Death-Maker - S3-E24

Continuity mistake: Towards the end of this episode when West gets into the casket, the width of the head area is wider than the foot area of the casket. There are only two circular hand grips on a side. When the two monks are carrying it to the furnace, the casket is symmetrically shaped with the head and foot areas being the same width, and there are three round hand grips on the side. Right before the third freeze frame when the monks are in front of the furnace, the casket is back to the original shape with the head area wider than the foot area.

Continuity mistake: In the opening scene, West is shot and falls off the stage coach. He falls to the ground with both arms stretched out horizontally. As the stage coach leaves, his left arm is positioned along side his body. One of the villains throws West's hat, and it lodges between his left hand and body. When West is found unconscious, the hat is resting on his left shoulder.

Continuity mistake: Towards the end of this episode, West crashes through a window and tears his right upper sleeve directly below the shoulder. When he exits the door into the cave and meets Gordon, the rip is no longer there.

Continuity mistake: After the third freeze frame, there is an outside fight. West has a major rip in his pants on the left inner seam from the knee to almost his waist - showing his white underwear during the fight. After the camera shot to Gordon and then back to West, his pants are now miraculously mended in the front and inner left leg area with a new large rip on the pant outer right seam from the knee to upper thigh.

Continuity mistake: In the last scene in the train car before President Grant walks in, two bottles are in the middle of the table (labels facing away from one another) with four glasses behind them. When the President enters and walks towards the table, both bottles are now placed further back (labels are now facing to the front) with the four glass and an ashtray in front of the bottles. After the President refuses a drink of wine, the table is back to the original setup - labels faces away one another and glasses are behind the bottles; the ashtray is no longer there.
