Continuity mistake: After Judy goes upstairs to pack, as Ron has a heart to heart with Sam, the dogs jump onto the couch and there are striped and patterned pillows beside Mojo. When Ron says, "Mojo, no dominating Frankie," the striped pillow is gone from that side of the couch. (00:10:00)

Continuity mistake: After Leo uses the taser on the security guard in the bathroom, the guard is sprawled out on the floor with his left arm lying beside him and the TP roll above his arm, but next shot the guard's arm is up parallel to his shoulder, with the TP roll now between his arm and torso. Continuity mistake: At the deli, when Sam, Mikaela and Leo are talking to Simmons, his mother shouts, "Moron, where's the white fish?" and there are four cans on the meat counter, but when it cuts to close-up there are only three. (01:16:10)

Visible crew/equipment: When Ron and Sam are discussing college and girls, in the shot facing Mikaela, as she's airbrushing the design on the motorcycle, the reflection of a crewmember (wearing a blue shirt) holding a reflector screen is visible on the chrome surface at the left, and as the camera pans in closer to her its moving shadow is also visible. Continuity mistake: When Sam phones Mikaela after missing their webchat date he drops his books and papers, and one book falls upright on the top stair in front of him, which promptly vanishes and then reappears as the last book he picks up. All the books and papers keep changing in his arms between shots as well. (00:46:30)

Continuity mistake: At the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum, when Mikaela, Sam and Simmons follow Wheelie they reach Jetfire's enclosure with the large information plaque attached to the metal front bar, as Wheelie faces them. Next shot, that whole front horizontal bar is gone along with the information plaque, and Wheelie now faces Jetfire. Then when the Cube shard attaches itself to Jetfire the metal horizontal bar reappears, though the large plaque is still gone, and that bar vanishes once again in the shot from under Jetfire. Continuity mistake: When Sam enters his dorm room for the first time (carrying the box), the two large stickers (rectangular and round) are to the right of the two posters on the door, but in the following shots both of the stickers are to the left of the posters. (00:25:30)

Continuity mistake: When the Cube sliver burns through the floor and falls onto the kitchen table, in the overhead shot there is a red stool on the side of the table (bottom of screen) with the bowl of cereal, but as the appliances transform that stool is at the wall beside the doorway. It reappears beside the table a few shots later, as the transformed blender jumps on it. (00:12:30)

Continuity mistake: When Alice and Leo walk in on Sam in the symbol filled dorm room, on the wall at the head of Sam's bed are three small-to-medium sized framed photos of Sam and Mikaela hanging vertically. After Alice pushes Leo out of the room, the frames change. Now there are two large and medium frames hanging vertically and another medium frame hanging horizontally. (00:50:00)

Continuity mistake: When Bumblebee shows up at the frat party with the horn blaring, Sam looks outside and sees the car on the lawn flashing headlights with a clean front bumper, but when Sam questions Bumblebee, there are bush branches all over the bumper. (00:35:00)

Continuity mistake: When Sam is on the cell with Mikaela, the Cube sliver falls onto the floor and Sam reaches down to pick it up with his left hand, as he holds the cell with his right hand. However in the close-up it's his right hand picking up the sliver. (00:12:10)

Continuity mistake: When Alice is kissing Sam on the bed there is a fan in the window beside the Bad Boys poster. It is there when she grabs him with her 'tongue'. When Mikaela returns and throws the metal box, it just breaks glass in that window frame, and we see the fan is suddenly sitting on the bed leaning against the Bad Boys poster, to the left of the window. Continuity mistake: When Sam is on the cell with Mikaela, telling her about the long distance relationship kit, he reaches for the webcam with his right hand outstretched while holding the cell with his left, but in the close-up it's his left hand picking it up, while holding the cell with his right hand. Continuity mistake: Before heading into the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum, when Simmons pulls the taser out of his bag and turns it on he holds it in his right hand, but in Leo's close-up as he starts to freak out, the taser's in Simmons's left hand, then it's back in Simmons's right hand, between shots. Continuity mistake: When Judy is crying over Sam's departure for college, Ron picks up his golf bag and carries it on his shoulder as he tells Judy to go up and pack. In the next shot, facing his back, the golf bag is gone only to reappear in the next shot as Judy goes upstairs. (00:09:40)

Continuity mistake: When Sam rushes back to his dorm room, he paints the first symbol on the Bad Boys poster, then rips the top poster off the wall and paints large symbols on the wall in its place. That poster remains gone in all the following shots except for two, where it is back on the wall above the Bad Boys poster. First when Sam knocks over the microwave and then when Alice fully transforms on Sam's bed. (00:50:10)

Continuity mistake: When Leo and Alice walk in on Sam in the symbol filled dorm room, there are large yellow symbols on the closet door which are partially erased when he knocks over the microwave, then back to the way it was originally. (00:50:00)

Continuity mistake: In Sam's dorm room, there is a white mini fridge at the foot of his bed, flat against the wall under the Cloverfield poster. However, when Sam rushes after Mikaela just as Alice's 'tongue' grabs hold of his neck, that fridge has moved to in front of the closet door, but it moves back to its original position thereafter. Continuity mistake: In the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum, Simmons grabs a leather flight jacket, puts it on and when he stands perfectly still between two mannequins his fur collar is first flipped up then flat down, between shots. (01:21:15)
