Seed of Chucky (2004)

Continuity mistake: When Jennifer is auditioning for Redman, when Redman says he's going to go with his first choice, Jennifer's hand goes from up under her chin to down by her side between cuts.

Seed of Chucky (2004)

Visible crew/equipment: As Glen escapes on the truck, when he turns to camera, you can see a very, very obvious reflection of a bounce-card on his eyes. (There's absolutely nothing else that could possibly be creating such a consistent reflection given he's on a moving vehicle.)

Visible crew/equipment: When Psychs is threatening Glen with the rat, you can pretty see a reflection of set lights and bounce cards in both Psych's and especially Glen's eyes during their closeups.

Seed of Chucky (2004)

Continuity mistake: When Tony Gardner is checking the Tiffany doll (right before it grabs his crotch), he puts both knees on the ground right before the shot ends. In the next shot, only one of his knees is on the ground.

Seed of Chucky (2004)

Continuity mistake: When Glen has his first voiceover at the ventriloquist show, when he says, "I'm not like that at all," there's a small hair stuck to his face near his left eye. It disappears in the very next shot where you see him.

Seed of Chucky (2004)

Continuity mistake: When Psychs the ventriloquist goes on stage, in the first shot, he doesn't have a cigarette in his mouth. In the next shot, one appears in his mouth. He has his arm extended in both shots, so while he is briefly off camera for about one second, he wouldn't have time to put the cigarette in his mouth, then re-extend it between takes.

Seed of Chucky (2004)

Revealing mistake: When Glen enters the child's room in the dream sequence, look out the window behind the rocking horse. There's an odd, unnatural stream of water firing diagonally among all the rain. (Likely some sort of flub with whatever sprinkler system they're using to create the rain on the windows.)

Seed of Chucky (2004)

Factual error: When Glen kills the mother in the dream sequence, you can pretty see the mother's pulse in her neck still, even though she's supposed to be dead.

Seed of Chucky (2004)

Revealing mistake: When the mother slips and falls out of the bathtub, there's a very clear jump-cut while the camera is facing the side of the bathtub. Instantly between cuts, the pattern of the water droplets changes, even though it's supposed to all be one continuous, unbroken shot. This reveals that it was pieced together from multiple different takes.

Seed of Chucky (2004)

Revealing mistake: When the father gets stabbed in the dream sequence and falls over the railing, you can tell there are multiple jump-cuts in the shot, even though it's meant to be one continuous, unbroken shot. It's especially noticeable when he lands, and several broken pieces of wood simply "appear" around him between frames.

Other mistake: During the opening dream sequence, as Glen begins to walk through the house, you hear it raining outside and can see rain outside the windows, except the front door windows, which show absolutely no rain whatsoever.

Seed of Chucky (2004)

Trivia: Jennifer Tilly was reportedly very game for playing herself in the film and had a lot of fun portraying a satirically exaggerated self-conscious/mean/slutty version of herself. In fact, she and writer/director Don Mancini had a little too much fun making the "Jennifer Tilly character" over-the-top... the studio actually had to give them a note telling them to make the character "a little more palatable," because while she was absolutely hilarious... she was also becoming completely unlikeable.

Seed of Chucky (2004)

Trivia: Was originally going to go into production in 1999 shortly after the release of "Bride of Chucky," but was indefinitely halted following the Columbine Shooting. Studios got cold feet about horror movies for a while, and given the script dealt with violence and children, they especially wanted to distance themselves from it. It finally went into production and was released five years later.

Seed of Chucky (2004)

Trivia: Just a fun detail that you might not pick up the first time... Tiffany calls up the widow of one of her victims to apologize for killing her husband. She refers to her as "Mrs. Bailey." If you pay close attention in "Bride of Chucky," it's briefly alluded that the cop in the opening scene (that Tiffany kills) is named "Bailey." (It's on his Zippo lighter.) So it's his widow that Tiffany calls in "Seed of Chucky."

Seed of Chucky (2004)

Trivia: The only "Chucky" movie to contain overt nudity. Both a real woman's and a plastic doll's (graphically detailed) breasts are seen.

Seed of Chucky (2004)

Trivia: A disclaimer had to be added to some of the trailers and commercials clarifying that "Britney Spears does not appear in this movie," due to a gag in which a lookalike was cast to portray Spears and is killed by Chucky. Spears' management team was worried her fans might go see the movie expecting her to be in it in a larger role, only to be disappointed that it was a lookalike in a short 30-second scene, so they asked the producers to add the disclaimer.

Seed of Chucky (2004)

Trivia: Chucky's gender-confused child is called either "Glen" or "Glenda" depending on who is addressing him. This is a reference to the docudrama "Glen or Glenda" directed by Ed Wood about cross-dressing and human sexuality. Wood was famously a cross-dresser.

Seed of Chucky (2004)

Trivia: Redman's part was written for Quentin Tarantino, who turned down the role as he wasn't interested in acting in a major part. (He similarly turned down major roles in a number of notable films in the 2000's).

Seed of Chucky (2004)

Trivia: The film was being produced by Focus Features. However, as Focus primarily worked in more artsy films at the time, they ended up purchasing and reviving fellow production company "Rogue Pictures" (which had been dropped four years earlier by Universal) to release this film and other similar works. "Seed of Chucky" ended up actually being the second film release under this revived banner, with the first being the American release of the comedy "Shaun of the Dead."

Seed of Chucky (2004)

Trivia: The gag in which the Tiffany doll accidentally grabs the puppeteer's groin was a bit of an inside joke. During production of "Bride of Chucky", one of the puppeteers kept having the Chucky doll grab Jennifer Tilly's boobs as a joke during takes. (And there is indeed a few shots where this can be seen in the final film.) As a bit of a goofy bid of "vengeance", director Don Mancini added a scene into this film where a puppeteer is similarly grabbed in the groin.
