Juice (1992)

Continuity mistake: Q has to record a demo for entry into the DJ competition. The scene showing him recording his demo scratching does not even remotely match the scratching heard in the scene where he is presenting his demo in front of Queen Latifah for entry into the competition.

Suggested correction: Q simply re-recorded the demo at another time. Could have even happened minutes later off camera. I am a DJ, and I definitely have re-recorded demos, even after I thought I had a finished product.

Suggested correction: It's sounded the same.

Up in the Air (2009)

Corrected entry: When Anna Kendrick is singing Karaoke she sings "almost left behind" which are the words to the song. However, the Karaoke screen says "almost left me blind." (00:57:00)

Correction: Several different companies make karaoke discs, and they all vary in quality from production of sound to lyrical accuracy. This is simply a disc with a spelling error on it (more than likely being played in real life as this scene was shot) and is not a movie mistake.

Corrected entry: When Grant lunges at Damou, Louie tells Rat that Grant has him. How can Louie see what is going on when the probe he is looking into was pointed at the seat they thought the sleeper was sitting in? Also if he can move the probe to look around the cabin then why bother with the time wasting idea of using Jean to point out the seat number?

Correction: To answer the first part of your question, it is made clear in the movie that the cameras can be rotated. They are using very small probe cameras that the operator can simply rotate by hand. However, some of the cameras have obstructed views, depending on where they were trying to look. The camera that Rat was on could not see the sleeper's face, because the overhead baggage compartment was in the way. Louie's camera was overhead just a few seats behind the guy who was mistaken for Demou, but still several rows ahead of where Demou actually was. When Grant made his move for Demou, Louie simply rotated the camera and was able to see. To address your second point, they had many cameras throughout the plane. However, they did not have a clear view of all 400 passengers faces. Not to mention, they were running short on time. Furthermore, Grant told Jean that she should be looking for someone with an electronic device, which is something that the team would likely not be able to see from the probe cameras. Jean would be able to see an electronic device a lot easier as she made her way through the cabin, which she did. (it turned out to be the wrong device, but that's beside the point).

Continuity mistake: Mr Grant is at a dinner party wearing a tux. Then he is in a meeting, and told they must fly within an hour, but it is during the day.

Upvote valid corrections to help move entries into the corrections section.

Suggested correction: Everything you mentioned happens during daytime hours. When we see the establishing shot of Washington DC, the sun is up. Although Grant is in a tuxedo, it is not a dinner party. In fact, while he is talking to the woman, it is daylight outside. He then rushes off to the Pentagon, and then to the airfield, all which happens during the day.

Deliberate mistake: Ethan draws the outlines of the buildings on the window. But the drawings line up with the real buildings from the camera's viewpoint, not as Ethan would see them.

Upvote valid corrections to help move entries into the corrections section.

Suggested correction: He is simply making a quick, crude sketch of the buildings to illustrate his fulcrum idea. It did not need to be within line of his eyesight. He just needed to quickly demonstrate his idea to the team.

Corrected entry: Apes do not possess the physical capacity for human speech. Their vocal chords are simply incapable of it, no matter how intelligent they become.

Correction: In the first movie in this franchise, Caesar spoke after he was exposed to the updated ALZ-113 drug. It is shown that this drug causes a physical side effect in humans when we see a doctor sneeze blood after he was exposed to the drug. Since this drug causes physical changes in humans, it is not unlikely that it could also cause a physical change in apes as well, allowing Caesar and other exposed apes to speak.

jshy7979

Maybe the drug only affects humans physically. Ape anatomy is different from humans, so it's not unreasonable that the drug only physically affects humans but not apes, and that the drug only affects apes mentally.

Factual error: The car tags are the same color even after many years Caesar is born. Three years after and then five years, the car tags are still yellow.

Upvote valid corrections to help move entries into the corrections section.

Suggested correction: Car tags use a very small number of colors for their stickers. Blue, green, red, orange, yellow are the primarily used colors for registration tags in California, and after some years they start to get used again. Of course the tag colors change year to year, but it is completely plausible that the same color could be used again in the 8 year span that you mention.

Corrected entry: Caesar the Chimpanzee spoke human words. However Great Apes' vocal chords make them unsuitable for speech as they are higher in their throats. Since the virus only affects the brain and doesn't physically change the location of the apes' vocal chords, it's impossible for Caesar to speak, no matter how smart he is.

Correction: Caesar spoke after he was exposed to the updated ALZ-113 drug. It is shown that this drug causes a physical side effect in humans when we see the exposed doctor sneezes blood, though no specifics were stated. Since this drug causes physical changes in humans, it is not unlikely that it could also cause a physical change in apes as well, allowing Caesar and other exposed apes to speak.

jshy7979

The exposed doctor has disease symptoms. That's not the same as changing the location of the vocal chords.

Ocean's Twelve (2004)

Corrected entry: The shot when Basher and Linus are practicing the switch is impossible to do in one shot. There are two items on the stand, the egg and a carriage next to it. There is no way that Linus was able to grab both items (one in each hand) and put the hologram down without it being two shots.

Correction: He is not grabbing one item in each hand, as you suggest. He is using one hand for both items. Servers in restaurants carry 2 full size dinner plates in one hand often. Grabbing the egg and the small carriage in one hand would definitely be very easy for Linus, as we have seen what an expert thief he is.

Mr. Destiny (1990)

Corrected entry: When Jim Belushi and Linda Hamilton go to the Miniature Golf Course, the song "Gimme Some Lovin'" by the Spencer Davis Group is playing. As part of the intro to the song, one lyric is to yell "Hey". The scene shows Jim Belushi lip synching this, but he does so one measure too soon. (01:19:40)

Correction: The song is part of a music montage. Larry (Jim Belushi) & Ellen (Linda Hamilton) are only hearing the song in the diner. By the time they get to the mini golf course, they no longer hear the song. What Larry in fact is doing is yelling "Okay" to Ellen, so she knows she can open her eyes.

The Hateful Eight (2015)

Corrected entry: What happened to the shotgun rider on the stage coach? He just disappears when the gang started killing the patron and owner. (02:00:00)

Correction: When the stagecoach comes in carrying Jody and his gang, there is an older male driver, and a woman sitting shotgun with him. Both of them are killed on screen. The man is shot by Jody, and the woman was shot by Joe Gage. The only other person that is outside when that Stagecoach shows up is Charlie, who is also killed on screen by Joe Gage.

jshy7979

Corrected entry: When Yzma calls for the guards to kill Pacha and Kuzko, there are at least ten guards but after Pacha spills the potions of them there are only six remaining (An ostrich, an octopus, a cow, a warthog, a lizard and a gorilla).

lancasterbiblecollege

Correction: It is stated earlier she had a flea potion, so it is completely plausible she would have potions for other small creatures like an ant, spider, fly, even a mouse. They could have been changed into one of those and would not have been seen.

Panic Room (2002)

Corrected entry: Jodie Foster's call to 911 would force the police to investigate even after she hung up when being placed on hold. This is standard operating procedure for all police departments.

MCKD

Correction: The very next thing she does is call her ex husband, who immediately calls the police. The cops do show up, in response to his call, making the need to investigate her hang up irrelevant.
